Summary: This game takes a step by step process... I like the idea of building the character image, there three choices. Engineer, tactical or medical officer. the uniform scheme can be changed also skin and hear color. It's like the game Sky rim. I appreciate the fact the game has an economic part, not just the combat. I found out I must work up levels to get my own ship. the game will not work with out offline.
Summary: I appreciate the timely manner & great price from the vendor for this product. If you play the game this is definitely worth considering for a purchase for the perks it allows. An added bonus surprise that wasn't mentioned was this particular edition had the Borg Eng BOFF. I wont say they all do but this did to my welcoming surprise. Thank you again!
Summary: Some may wonder, "What's the point of buying a boxed copy of this game, when it's free-to-play?" Well, there may not be much point to the standard edition anymore (except, of course, for the 30 free days of Gold membership), but as someone who's been playing STO since three days after launch, and who still loves the game, I have to say that the collector's edition is definitely worth it -- not for the game itself, of course, but for the extras it contains.
Summary: I actually bought this for the red matter capacitor it comes with. I love the game!! This product came pretty fast, and was packed really well. If you are a fan of Star Trek Online, START PLAYING!! its free to play!
Summary: I am a big Star Trek fan, so my opinion of this game might be slightly tanted, but I think the game is great, I love all the uniforms that can be worn. They range from ones created for the games time line, to uniforms from all 4 series and the two mirror universes. The ship collection is pretty cool too, there are ships from all 4 series as well as many that are not. You can play as human, vulcan, andorian, Bajorin, Klingon, and several others.
Summary: Bought this for my daughter's STO account (she's quite a Trekkie), and I'm sure it would have worked easily had not the gray coating on the access code been so difficult to remove. In fact, 3 of the characters in that code were damaged during that removal process, resulting in a useless card. I contacted STO customer support, who told me to return the card to the vendor for replacement - I am currently in the process of doing that now.
Summary: I have been a Star Trek fan since I was a kid. I grew up watching the Original Series, fell in love all over again with The Next Generation, enjoyed all the movies... enjoyed (but not quite as much) DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise. I have also been an avid gamer since paper Dungeons and Dragons. My first big MMO was Everquest when it first came out.
Summary: I have a lifetime membership to Star Trek Online. I bought this second game to get the 500 extra skill points. After buying the game ($9 was a very good price) I loaded the game and could not activate the skill points. After calling The STO support team (2.5 hours of my life I will never get back, it was found that is game did not have the right number to give me the skill points I wanted, It was just a regular game with no special bonus. I was very sad and disapointed.
