Still the best battle simulator after all these years. This is what every Star Trek game should be.

Summary: I have owned this game since it's original release date and in my opinion it was and still is the best Star Trek game ever developed. Battle is not just point and shoot. When you are surrounded and outnumbered you need to use ever resource at your disposal to win. Here you can (depending on what ship you control - and there are a LOT of them) do the following: Target Sub Systems such as Warp, Impulse, Sensors, etc.
Summary: i remember this game being highly anticipated back in 2000 to be the greatest star trek combat sim.. it was sort of... they promised all sorts of stuff in the game.. addons etc.. Then they disbanded 14 degs leaving everyone that bought the game for 50 bucks with a broken half made game game going wtf.. and interplay then went bankrupt a year or later. they released 2 minor patches to fix bugs but that was it.. the game had real potential.
My all-time favorite Star Trek universe game... still works fine with a little effort.

Summary: This game, like most Star Trek games, had a slightly troubled launch. There were two main bugs... first, the "default game speed" was too high (though the game has a "speed adjustment" so you can play it from the fastest setting... almost like a fighter sim... or the lowest, which would put even the most hardcore "battleship sim" fan to sleep. The big bug, upon release, was the "ram-em" enemy AI. The enemies would inevitable ram you.
Summary: I played this game long ago (2000) and it was my favorite Star Trek game. Armada and several of the others just don't have the granularity that this game offers. The ability to handle the Helm, Engineering, Security, Disruptors, etc are all there. Where most other games were all about point and click and watching things happen instead of making them happen, made it that much more fun.
Summary: Well, I had bought this game years ago, but was missing some CD's. So I decided to buy it again. The game is kinda cool. You are the captian of a bird of pray, how cool. You can cloak your ship, transfer power to repairs, and fire primary and seconary weapons. When you take on a star ship, it can take a little skill getting your targeting lined up. The star ships move all over the place fast.
Summary: Although there's nothing much more to say than what earlier reviews have already covered, one thing that should be mentioned about Klingon Academy is it's 'modability', that is, the ability for players to make and download customized ships, screens, star systems, and other game components.
