Star Trek Elite Force II
Game Over Online
17 July 2015
Excerpt: The summer, quite frankly, is a difficult time to keep up with game reviewing. When you’re stuck inside in the winter, almost nothing short of snowbound here in New Hampshire, there’s often nothing better to do than play games and write about them, but in the midst of summer, my wife lying in the...
Excerpt: Without calling myself a Trekkie, I do consider myself a Star Trek enthousiast. Still, of all the Star Trek Licensed games I have only played Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force, which left me craving for more. Did I get that with Star Trek Elite Force 2? We shall see!
Excerpt: Another star trek game I hear your say? its been a while since the last, well this month anyway. Star Trek Voyager: Elite Forces is the first game to be based on the Voyager series. Star Trek EF uses the Quake 3 Engine to full effect making the game run smoother and better.
Excerpt: Three years ago, Activision and Raven have released their first-person shooter based upon the Star Trek Voyager TV series. Now Activision and Ritual return with more Trek shooter action in Elite Force II that features a new in-depth storyline, scenarios and even more tweaked Quake 3 Engine.
Summary: One of the better Star Trek games of recent past was . The first person shooter wasn’t trying to push the boundaries of the genre but to offer a nice action packed Star Trek game. Warp ahead a few years later and now we have and the return of the Hazard Team.
Elite Force II is a good, well-rounded shooter that should satisfy fans of similar games, as well as Star Trek fans looking to shoot first and ask questions later.

After all, more so than other science fiction series, Star Trek has always taken a more cerebral approach as the courageous crews of vessels like the...
Conclusion: I think I'm fresh out of words. This has turned out to be quite a long review, but I hope it helps you to decide whether or not this game is right for you. Live long and prosper... and don't forget about the alien strippers. They might add some more, err, replay value to the game.
Pros: Engaging plot with a few nice twists and a good pace; great cinematic value and atmosphere. Colorful characters, excellent voice acting. Some neat puzzles to solve under pressure. Alien strippers;
Cons: Some weird level design decisions (invisible walls), inconsistent design of the maps. Lackluster enemy and team AI. Annoying loading screens.
Conclusion: On balance, Elite Force II is a pretty respectable FPS, but like Unreal 2 it's the game's inability to innovate consistently that compels us to give up. Were it not for characters with personalities deeper than their cup-size, the realisation of the Star Trek world and Patrick Stewart bellowing at...
