Best Star Trek game ever!
14 February 2014
Summary: I have played a lot of Star Trek games. I am a fan of all the Star Trek series, DS9 is my favorite, but I have never played a game like this before. You have space battles and in depth away missions. There is a unique charm to these old DOS games that new mmo's can't touch. So keep your red shirts safe, and phasers on stun.
Summary: I was given this game as a gift when I was a fresh-faced 6 year old, and there is an excellent chance it shaped my gaming preferences for the rest of my life. I'm now 24 and I have probably played this game through 10 times, and loved it every time. Ever since playing it I have always loved playing adventure-style games where you had to talk to people and figure out how to put together something useful with only stone knives and bear skins.
Summary: The setup was a bit annoying because I was running a 64 bit operating system. After finally getting Dosbox I was able to get the game running, a word of advice set the sound to soundblaster pro and compatible drivers to get sound. The game play is very good for a pre Fallout game from 1993. The story line is somewhat cheesey although it is still fun to watch its progression.
Summary: Star Trek 25th Anniversary Signature Series Made to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the cult classic Star Trek, Star Trek: 25th Anniversary rings true to the original television series and pays it homage without being just another generic space adventure. In this game and its sequel Star Trek: Judgment Rites, Interplay Productions successfully recreates a world worthy to be in any Star Trek fan's fantasy by combining adventure elements with a starship simulation that...
Excerpt: This could be considered your basic adventure game, containing a few fundamental differences that re-arrange the rules which most follow. You start the game onboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. With the graphics being a bit ‘dull’ to these days standards to say the least, and the fact that the player may feel ‘trapped’ on things to do, it may be an unjustified ‘put off’ introduction to the game.
Pros: The theame . Also, it's playable again and again as mission outcomes can vary .
Cons: It's age, graphics and AI arn't up to todays standards .
