Summary: Flipping stupid that you have to register the game online to play it. My grandmother loves this game, so we got it for her for Christmas. She doesn't have the internet. We had to take her entire computer to a place we could hook it up to the internet, and back to her house, just so she could play. EA can go jump off a bridge. Ridiculous. Just to be clear, the game itself is very fun.
Summary: if you look around you will find there is an illegal fix for this DRM problem. i was forced to use it, and you can use it too. i will give no more details, but this is a problem that drives honest people like me to use illegal methods to get around something that should not be there in the first place.
Pros: i loved the game and there is a way around the DRM. i payed for the game when it first came out. so i am an honest owner.
Cons: the DRM. the lock that won't allow you to install it forced me to use illegal methods to use a game i am an honest owner of. and it doesn't stop people from getting around it. it is a bad idea and i hope it is never repeated.

Summary: bought this game for my son's birthday and it was a total let down. it obviously was a poor copy because we couldn't even get the game to load. So we tried it on several computers and it never loaded. BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT LETDOWN EVER.
Summary: I gave him my old xp computer and was trying to find games he could play, however, this needs internet connection, wish I had know that before I purchased, now I have to find someone to give it to.
Summary: I followed this game for years before it came out. I thought this game was going to be very deep and would provide many hours of playtime. I got to the space stage in a few hours and got board of that very fast. I think this game would be entertaining for 10 to 14 year old kids.
Cons: DRM was a pain! I didn't know about the whole issue with it when I bought it.. Then found out later, but didn't think it would be that big a deal.. well I ran out of my installs and took 4 days to get EA to re-set my install limit.. WHAT A PAIN! If I BOUGHT the game, I should be able to PLAY it WHEN I WANT!
Summary: Had high hopes for this "open ended" game, this title wind up being wanting to be "jack of all trades and ace of none". Each stage of the creature development is simplistic and repetitive, especialy problematic is the 'space" age, as it is very difficult to track where you have been, where your attention is needed, etc, also the customization is rather limited and virtually pointless as all the customization really does little in affecting the game play other than making...
Pros: It's fun for about the first 1 hour
Cons: Over hyped, unintuitive interface, poor graphics, and silly copy protection scheme
Summary: Don't even consider buying this game until they fix it up (if they ever do)
Pros: the Game play is OK at best
Cons: First of all lets get this strait i like this game its fun but who the h*** makes a game that is only download able 3 times and that makes a game only fun for the first few levels i mean come on so i put this on my 8 year old laptop and it works and just a week ago i built myself a supper quick computer the only regrets i have is that i got the more expensive vista rather than the Macintosh OS. so i load spore and it wont start. it simply wont start and you can just g...
Summary: I read through hundreds of reviews saying this game is terrible and that people should spend their money elsewhere. I wanted to see what the whole thing was about so I bought it. I do not regret it at all. Very addictive and after an hour or two of frustratingly trying to get the game to run, I played till 4:00 in the morning. I like how you evolve and conquer other creatures but my favorite part is when you first start out as a cell.
