A third-person shooter video game, Spec Ops: The Line is the upcoming game developed by Yager Development and published by 2K Games. This game is currently the ninth title of the Spec Ops Series. Spec Ops: The Line was announced at the Spike Video Game Awards on 12th of December 2009 and is set to be released somewhere in 2011 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In this game, players will play the role of the main character, Captain Martin Walker. The Captain is sent into a post-apocalyptic Dubai along with an elite Delta Force bravo team. In the past, Dubai used to be a wealthy area with many high profile citizens up until the catastrophic happened leaving a majority of the city buried. This made many to evacuate, leaving merely a few behind. One of the people who were left behind was U.S Army Colonel John Konrad, a founding member of Delta Force. Then after a few weeks of no contact, the Army worries that Colonel might be lost along with his men to the destruction of the city. That’s when the Army deploys the player and their teams, who must break into the city, neutralize outlaws and live on sandstorms as they try to find out what happened to the Colonel and his men.

Features

In Spec Ops: The Line, players play the role of Captain Martin Walker who is together with a Delta Force bravo team to rescue the Colonel who is in Dubai. To achieve this goal, players must cross the city to neutralize natural disasters as well as enemy threats to find the lost Colonel. As the game develops, there will have better equipments, weapons and squad commands which will allow the player to direct their teammates to accomplish goals more easily. Other than that, there’s a multi-player mode too.
