Summary: I wasn't so keen on the previous games of Slitherine before (Legion & Chariots of war) as they seemed to simplistic to me (Diplomacy, battles..). I tried the demo of Spartan after reading many good reviews and the same evening it made my order for Spartan & Gates of Troy (the add-on).

Summary: This is one of the better games from Slitherine. While it takes some getting used to the fact you don't get individual control over your units in the tactical battles, the command orders and instructions part before the battles are actually more realistic. The campaign map is beautiful to behold.
Summary: Spartan ist einfach toll. Es gibt kein Strategie Spiel (Age of Empires oder Empire Earth sind eher Taktik Spiele) das sich so gut mit das alte Griechenland befasst. Rome:Total War setzt den Schwerpunkt auf dem Kampf, hier geht es um globale Strategie.
