Space Siege – PC Review

Unigamesity
3 November 2010
  • Excerpt: When I heard that Gas Powered Games (the company that brought us the remarkable Supreme Commander and Dungeon Siege) is working on a new action-RPG, I was really excited: insane artifacts, tons of monsters and multiple story paths are my kind of things, so I was prepared. Prepared for Space Siege , just to make it clear what game we’re talking about here.

Space Siege Review

VideoGamer.com
14 March 2009
  • Excerpt: Very few developers have the confidence to create games according to the auteur model: where the creative director of a development studio has such a clear vision of what a game should be like they can enforce this vision upon their game through force of will and personality alone, and then communicate this vision to the public. Gas Powered Games' CEO, Chris Taylor, is one of these people.

Space Siege

Square-Go
11 March 2009
  • Excerpt: What? Aliens invading our planet? Taking our jobs, and acting like they own the pub? Well, it’s a good thing there’s a gruff, hard-looking cybernetic bloke here to sort them out, even if he does wish he was the Master Chief. Space Siege won’t win any awards for original story-writing. Aliens — called the Karek — show up and start killing us lowly humans (yawn).

SimAnimals

Hooked Gamers
28 January 2009
  • Conclusion: At the end of the day, I felt that SimAnimals is a rather unique life simulation game. It may not be as polished as some of Electronic Arts’ other titles, but there is still plenty of fun to be had. In the end though, I felt that an online mode would have benefited the game tremendously, as would a longer story mode. Wouldn’t it have great to visit other people’s forests? Despite its shortcomings though, SimAnimals is still a great game.

Space Siege

Strategy Informer
24 September 2008
  • Conclusion: That said, if you've really nothing better to do on a weekend then Space Siege will undoubtedly please the less-demanding action gamers amongst you. Combat is solid, and 4-player co-op support gleans some enhanced entertainment – but nowhere near enough to raise the execution above anything approaching average. If you've not given Titan Quest or Diablo a try, there really isn't anything contained within Space Siege to make it worth your while.

Space Siege

Thunderbolt Games
5 September 2008
  • Excerpt: I’ve always been fascinated by space. The idea that I’m looking at something that other humans have looked and wondered about for millennia, me wondering the same things that they wondered, it fills me with an incredible since of awe. We as a species are unique because we can imagine life beyond our horizon, our planet, even beyond our own galaxy.
