Summary: Great innovative game. Made me feel like playing Pirates! again, this time in space. Lots of stuff to do, explore. Text adventures are fun. I skipped the RTS part, but everything else is absolutely great and interesting.
Summary: One of the best games I have ever played. No words can give this game a fair review. You have to play it to understand it. Also, I must say that when I was watching my friends playing it I wasn't a big fan of this game. But after I played it myself I fell in love with this game.
Summary: This game has something for everyone: economic/item trading, RPG-like levelling/skills, RTS planetary battles, faction/reputation system, turn-based space combat (and you can "hire" other ships as your entourage), arcade-style hyperspace combat, and old-school text logic puzzles. However, you can pretty much do as little or as much of different aspects of the game (except if you get through in jail, I guess you're stuck doing that text mini-game).
Summary: If you're familiar with the game, get it. You know you love it, stop denying it. It may not be the fanciest game, or the most polished of the gems, but it's still a gem. If you don't know anything about the game, get it, and thank me later. The price is great, and the game runs like a charm.
Summary: Amazing space strategy game. I only found out about this game due to Steam deals but I wish I had found it sooner. Nice to be able to casually play a game like this since the days when I was a kid playing Starflight on the Sega Genesis. Sad to hear this company has since disbanded, I was looking forward to a new game with better graphics and more graphic modes. Already beat it three ti mes and put in over 200 hours of gameplay and it keeps me coming back.
Summary: I've put this on my windows 7 desktop and laptop and it works wonderfully both places. So much fun! There are two types of "quests" as far as the game is concerned. One is called "planetary battles" and my laptop doesn't have the version of DirectX that the game wants, so I can't play those. Not a problem, though the implementation is a bit strange. I start the game, it tells me it can't play, then it starts.
