Summary: Soldier of fortune is a fps (first person shooter) created by raven software and published by activision. It was released in the year 2000 (which makes me feel inredibly old). SOF's story is nothing revolutionary, a group of neo nazi terrorists steal a handful of nuclear warheads from a russian facility, then sell said warheads to the highest bidding third world countries.
Summary: Kingpin, you may recall, was the middlebrow tabloids’ nemesis - a gore-laden swear-fest in which subtlety of tactical play and strategic planning played no part. It may have been a great-looking, well-balanced game, but its dour setting, constant profanity and ruthless action made it a depressing experience. As such, it didn’t fare as well as it should have.
Summary: One word of advice before anyone touches this game.It is not for the weak-hearted.You can inflict any kind of wound u want!!! As good as a bad movie can be is what the game can be described as. So, you are John Mullins, the biggest smart-arse ever to appear on a pc game. Mullins is a james bond wannabe, who performs all sorts of secret military type operations for an underground anti-terrorist organization called ’’The Shop’’.
Summary: It’s true, Soldier of fortune has to be the goriest game I have ever played but it’s not all bone and gristle. SOF has been made famous for it’s realistic portrayal of modern combat but there’s much more to it than that, SOF actually has a story! It’s quite a weak story but there is one there. You play John F.
Pros: Fast paced action, Gore lovers heaven, Almost realistic
Cons: Not totaly realistic though, Gore haters hell, not for the quiet gamer
Soldier of Fortune (PC): Unfortunately not Mr Mullins

Summary: Soldier Of Fortune is a sick and violent first person shooter, designed to satisfy those people who collect shotguns and dream of owning their own tank and invading Iraq :) You play a character called John Mullins. Whoops. He has no sense of humour and looks ridiculous. And we thought things couldnt get any worser after Gordan Freeman. he spends most of the game searching out some uber-terrorist organisation who have stolen a few nukes.
Summary: Howdy-ho, Decided on a whim to see what some people in the FPS arena have been blathering about much of the time about this title, so I borrowed it and gave it a whirl. First of all, it must be noted that this title has an 18/R rating, and this is made bleeding obvious by Activision, which is highly commendable and noble on their part... alas, with the review already!
Soldier of Fortune (PC): This game has "hit points"!

Summary: Soldier of Fortune is a First Person Shooter (FPS) based on the magazine of the same name. For those of you who are unaware, Soldier of Fortune (SoF) is an American based magazine which deals with guns and survival, amongst other things. It’s based on a htweaked version of the Quake 2 engine (which is now quite old, and starting to show its’ age) and developed by Raven Software, who previously have been responsible for several Quake add-on mission packs, and subsequently...
Pros: damage areas, decent FPS
Cons: biased towards an American player, nothing special
Summary: Having been available for three years, it’s become one of the most reliable and well-known engines on the market. Combine that with the new technology they’ve adapted to work with it, and you’ve just breathed new life into a dead engine. The textures on the characters are among the best I’ve seen. The expressions on the faces, the way you can actually see their mouths moving when they’re speaking is something I’ve never seen before.
Summary: Die!! Why don't you die?! Sometimes I have a bad mood, not often, but sometimes. And this is the first game I reach for whenever that happens. Its a good stress reliever, although I've always thought Computer games companies use Gore as a gimmic, this is without a doubt the most gory game you'll play (for a while at least) But what else? Not much, It suffers from the halflife problem of "its no good 2nd time around" why can't these FPS creators get this into their mind?
Pros: Stress Relief, the shotgun is almost as good as DooM's
Soldier of Fortune (PC): fun i guess... but boring and very easy

Summary: i wonder if the game designers have heard of the word "non-linear". you play through soldier of fortune just running around, shooting and killing. err... thats it really. you are told by a friend what to do in missions while he runs off somewhere else. it is very, very linear. which is boring for a first person shooter. apprently the violence and weapon damage is the most realistic on any game. for example blowing someones leg off with a shotgun... bit sick yes.
