Summary: Loaded game on to computer. Benchmark3d.exe won't load up properly. Tried calling help center from Activision and no one is there. I need to know how I can play this on my computer and bypass this issue. I don't a game system so my computer is what I have to work with. If someone from Activsion could call me or someone from Amazon that has dealt with issue could call me to help solve this that would be great.
Summary: I bought that game for my kids on the PC version. Great game, my kids loves it but, Champions stop working after one week of playing (A toy on the portal of power has a problem). Activision support can not do anything about it so they just send me three new champions that will probably stop working within a month.
Summary: Be aware that Skylanders uses secuROM. secuROM requires the DVD to be in the drive when the game starts up. Using secuROM is an odd choice for Skylander since they could have used the Portal of Power as a copy protection dongle. Putting a DVD in might work for most but unfortunately for me I have a Mac book retina that doesn't come with a DVD drive. It's a dealbreaker for me. Also, Skylanders is labeled as Windows only.
Summary: The two player mode will not work on PC. You need to know this up front if you intend to buy this product. I should also warn you that the keyboard controls listed in the instructions is partial. Good luck figuring out basic commands that help you do things like close a window, or choose options in a window. Tried to log on to Activision customer support, but it wouldn't take country and birth date info.
Summary: We were unhappy with thiw item because it would not work on our computer as it was supposed to. Would not down load on any computer we tried. The cost of returning would not have been worth the hassle of what we would have gotten back. Games such as this will be purchased at a store with an easy return in the future.
Summary: The PC version of this game is huge pile of poop. My kids had played the PS3 version at a friend's frequently and loved it. However, we tried the PC version and it was incredibly frustrating. I spent an extra hour re-installing Direct X, then when play began, we suffered through slow play and an inability to make the characters operate as intended (and as they had in the PS3 version). Returning the game, but at least we are comforted that Amazon is great about returns.
Summary: This review is for the PC version. OK, I should have read the minimum specs before I bought this game for my son. It requires a 512 Mb video card and a Dual Core machine to run it. My son's machine is not the fastest in the house and didn't quite meet the specs so I tried it in my machine which does meet the minimum specs. I still couldn't get the game to install and run. Best advice from Activision was upgrade my drivers.
