  • Summary: Sins of the Solar empire is a game that tries to marriage RTS and oldschool X3 genres (Homeworld meets Galactic Empires) offering us battle micromanagement as well as ruling an empire. Unfortunately, devs forgot to put little thing called FUN into this mix.

Great initiative, bad execution

vnvdaemon, Amazon

  • Summary: The game is great, but updates through Stardock Impulse are a PITA. The client that ships with the product is outdated and won't let you register, so you've got to go to their 1990's-looking website and enter the CD key EXACTLY as it is printed (caps and dashes).

  • Summary: Hmmm.... I struggled through 50 hours looking for the magic. It never happened. You know, once a game gets to the point where you hover over it, hesitating to start it up, you know all is lost.

  • Summary: Got it for my son. He seems to be enjoying it and think about strategies without simply shooting starships. Not bad after all.

  • Summary: Nice graphics but gameplay not as good as homeworld and homeworld 2. I really tried but I have given up now, just not my cup of tea.

Great game, shame about the 'tutorial'

thiswilldo, Amazon

  • Summary: first off let me just say I think this is a fantastic game but it's just lost those stars for the simple reason of it's hugely complex without any true tutorial, sure it gives you the basics but with a game this in depth (where a large game can take upwards of twelve hours to complete) it just isn't...
