Summary: As stated above, the sims 3 Barnacle Bay does not come with a CD. After reading the description and all of the wonderful features that come with the game, I was very excited to order the game.Well, immediately I knew that there was a problem. There was a download code instead of the CD. Furthermore, there wasn't anything exciting besides the clothes and items to look at. I was like "I paid 20 dollars for this"n I could have built this myself.
Summary: Barnacle Bay is pretty much a Sims 3 neighborhood, with some extra content. If you're looking for free neighborhoods and Sims, go to EA's very own Sims 3 Exchange. Dig around in the forums under World Builder, and you'll find *plenty* of well-designed fanmade neighborhoods to keep you occupied. EA's Sims Exchange has a browsable section of premade Sims. As for additional content, like homes and outfits, I highly recommend TheSimsResource and ModTheSims2.
Summary: Overall it's just another new world nothing special about this one. I like having big lots like the 60x60 and 64x64 sizes to place my created families in this new town but this world doesn't have a lot of those. It's mostly small lots. The new families and houses are kinda dull. EA didn't put much story background or thought into this town. The beach coast is nice with the exclusive ship diner not available in sunset valley, riverview, twinbrook or bridgeport.
Summary: mine did not say anything about not coming with a disk.. i diwnloading it on my game and installed it.. it didn't add it to my game and now i cant even open my game anymore.. this was not worth 20 dollars.. wished i knew what it was before i bought it.. before i buy another sims game i will make sure it isnt just a download.. dont waste your money on this download its not worth it..
Summary: EA really needs to work out their bugs before releasing things. This neighborhood is NOT playable if you ever want to take your sims on vacation. They do not arrive at the destination...just disappear into thin air and then you can't get them back. Rip off!!!!
wow I wish I could go back in time and get my money back

Summary: I was waiting anxiously for this game. I love Sims and have been playing since they first began. This has been the worse expansion pack that I have bought. As people have discussed the graphics are not great. The stuff that is included is minimal. I hardly knew it was there. I don't think getting a few new floor tiles and a new set of clothes constitutes and expansion pack. There was so much they could have done with this game. Like for example eye patches.
Summary: Just like the other reviews said, this game came with no disc. When I found out that this was no mistake, I was upset. My wife and I love sims 3 and now we can't play this game even though our computers are in the same room. No, now only one of us can play with this expansion, and the other is SOL. I called customer support, and said I wanted a cd rom copy, they said ok. I sent it in, and 2.5 weeks and 4 dollars later I get another DIGITAL copy!
Summary: For Sims 3 players who have the World Adventures expansion pack, the description of Barnacle Bay makes it sound like it is another adventure destination for Sims to travel to. The description makes mention of vacations several times, but this is not a vacation destination. Mentions of "uncovering the community's secrets", "campgrounds", and "relics" in this "vibrant vacation getaway" make it sound like this adds a new World Adventures-style destination. It does not.
Could have lived without purchasing barnacle bay...

Summary: Not sure why EA put the leaflet with the activation code in a DVD package. It would have been cheaper to send it in a letter or even better via email. This wasn't worth the price. Don't recommend.
