Summary: I cannot rate it fairly but was disappointed that I tried to install on two different computers. I think the program is too big and would need a more powerful video card to make it work. So I cannot grade it....darn!!! I may try a new vidio card and see if that works if not then that would be bad.
Summary: I loved all previous SH games and was looking forward to this one. No problem installing. But I was first required to complete a tutorial. The screen was too dark to see anything. I underdstand I was inside the sub at night and red lights were used to keep one's night vision. I was dierected to go from the captain's cabin, climb a ladder, and reach the control room. I saw dim a red glow from the top of the screen but nothing else was visible.
Summary: I had fully read the reviews and visited a few forums, so I wasn't expecting a great product to begin with. But I did expect a minumum for the money I spent on it. Well I was surprised to find out it wasn't even worth the 15$ I spent on it. I don't know where to begin. Ubisoft seems content in putting out follow-up releases that are incomplete and bug infested, grabbing the money, and running.
STEAM and the need to be ONLINE KILLS this SH game series

Summary: See you later UBISOFT I would never buy a product from any vendor that requires a user to be online in order to use it....be it a game or otherwise. Vendors need to understand that trust is a two way street.....I don't mind registering my purchased product but I don't like having an online connection to a vendor that does not trust me.
Summary: Ok, my experience was short! I tried it from a guy who downloaded this game. Everything was perfect, game installed and started but ... the guy has a REGULAR HP dv-9000 laptop, not the most powerful but modern one, so the game needs so much video card and other power that we even couldn't leave our garage! He had to uninstall the game within minutes and went back to "Silent Hunter" - III and IV...
Summary: While the game itself shows great promise (though much like every game in the series wont truly shine until the mods have fixed some of the omissions from the game) its crippled by draconian DRM that restricts play when not online. Meaning any disruption in your Internet connection stops the game until a stable connection is resumed.. on top of that the games constantly trying to upload your savegames to ubisofts servers.. this takes time..
