Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law

Hooked Gamers
10 January 2008
  • Conclusion: Overall, I’d say Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is a dud. It takes the same concept of the fantastic Phoenix Wright games, but executes it terribly. If you want a court room drama game, get the trilogy of Phoenix Wright games. Snuggle up with them in bed under some warm covers and just relax.

The Wargamer
9 June 2007
  • Excerpt: It's a good thing The Wargamer does not rush its reviews nor its reviewers. Frankly, Silent Hunter 4 was released in buggy state, and its reviews suffered accordingly. Which is a shame, really, as Silent Hunter 4's bugs were not the product of bad core design, as is the case with many other games,...

  • Excerpt: Apparently, there's such as thing as "submarine enthusiasts" which, at face value, sounds akin to a suicide cult with fetish for being drowned and crushed under tons of water. As it happens, however, submariner is really a rather stimulating (and worrisome) career choice.

Silent Hunter 4 is an excellent simulation of World War II submarine warfare in the Pacific.

GameSpot
26 March 2007
  • Summary: Famed designer Sid Meier established and defined the submarine simulation 22 years ago with the classic Silent Service. Although the genre has seen better days, it continues to plug along thanks to Ubisoft's solid Silent Hunter series.
  • Pros: Highly scalable gameplay that lets you be a submariner in the Pacific, single-player career mode offers tons of challenging and changing gameplay, multiplayer support lets you team up with others or play as the escort, excellent production values make it seem as if you're really at sea
  • Cons: Stability issues and other bugs, though an initial patch has addressed some of these issues, artificial intelligence is a bit uneven

Silent Hunter 4: Wolves of the Pacific Review

Eurogamer
28 March 2007
  • Conclusion: There's a bevy of other improvements like the overhauled crew management (Days are now split into three watches with crew automatically rotating when the watch changes) and the adversarial multiplay (One captain controls an escorted convoy while others man attacking subs) but none of them are...
