Siege Anthology is A+ Value
18 April 2002
Excerpt: The Siege of Avalon Anthology is a welcome breath in the world of role-playing games. No, the game does not break any technical benchmarks or cause your processor to smoke under the weight of the graphics processing. But Siege does do something that few other RPGs ever have: provide solid entertainment without breaking your bank. Siege can be had for just $20, a price that most RPGs won't reach until they have been bested by their own sequels several times over.
Excerpt: Digital Tome is a Texas-based developer. If you go to their web site , you'll notice that their tagline is "Played Any Good Books Lately?" and that they advertise their first game, Siege of Avalon, as an "episodic computer game novel." From seeing that, you might wonder if Siege of Avalon is really a game at all, or if it is only a "game" in the sense that you get to provide some minor input to keep the plot flowing along.
Excerpt: Siege of Avalon is almost a traditional Role-Playing Game with Real Time combat system. The novelty here is that this game is the first one that has been divided into six different chapters that are being sold one at time. Chapter 1 is free and you can get it from www.siege-of-avalon.com, Chapters 2-6 are being sold. One Chapter costs 9,95$ or all five Chapters 40$.
