Summary: This is not the real box version with the map and guidebook. This is just a cheap case with a disc in it. What a rip off. Says "New" and it is NOT the Factory "New" just a remake in a case that was shipped over from England. Buyer beware! I bought this by mistake thinking it was the factory one.
Summary: Who wants to be a pirate? Maybe in real life, but not in a computer game. This game is tedious and woeful. I think this is a poor attempt at cracking a new market. There are many better ideas to make a game of than this. Like a knitting game.
Summary: I really don't know where to start with this one. :-( First off, I am an avid collector of anything pirate. I have played "Pirates!" since it came out on the C-64, I had an Amiga and a "Pirates! Gold" PC version. Then news came out that Firaxis was about to release this classic in 2004.
Summary: I was very disappointed with this game. After the hype, the actual game is poor and repetitive. The main character (who you have no choice but to play) is annoying and looks about 12. The gameplay soon turns out to be very limited and boring. I expected much more from Sid Meier.
Summary: It seems this product has been released before being tested. It doesn't work on many computers but logs itself out. You can see this on Atari's own website. DO NOT BUY THIS - YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY
Summary: First of all please note that this review is written having actually purchased and played the full retail version of the game. It's not a review of what might be or of a pre-release version. This is what you actually get. The game has great potential and is fun to play but is deeply flawed.
Summary: Does not work on a Windows 7 machine. 'Run as Administrator' does not work. Running the game in a compatibility mode does not work either. Bought the game from Steam instead, worked first time!
