the game is ok. Steam sucks

Summary: The game itself is interesting. however, the interface of steam sucks big time. In order to play the game, it needs to login my steam account, which takes at least 3 minutes and i need to watch a lot of ads from steam. After I clicked on the game icon, then nothing happens for a few minutes while it was connecting to steam. I feel I was kidnapped by steam. Today, the game crashed and the error message was could not find the hard drive. I wants to re-install the game.
Summary: I really don't know if I like it to not. I made a mistake in purchasing it and "steam" will not allow me to play it as I don't have the correct codes to enter. I have ordered the "regular" Civ-5 game and will learn more when I receive and load it.
Summary: Does nothing to improve the fundamental problems with Civ 5. Seriously, if you are thinking of buying this, get Civ 4 + Beyond the Sword expansion instead. If you care to hear a justification for that statement, which by now is obvious to everyone who ever played civ 4 at a high level, here it is: 1) Global happiness is still a broken Mechanic. Google "Sulla What went wrong" civ 5 for more on this.
Summary: Espionage and religion! Yay! Why weren't they in the original installment of Civilization 5? So they could release the features 2 years later for $30? Yes, that's pretty much what Gods and Kings is - the addition of espionage and religion (for $30). You also get a few more civs, some more units, and more luxuries...meh. Espionage - you can steal technologies from other civs, or you can initiate a coup in a city state. Wow. It took two years for that?
