One of the Best Games Ever!

Summary: I had had this game for PC several years ago, and loved it. So, when I found that it was the only Civ game that would be compatible with my Mac, I wasn't very disappointed. There was a slight pain, in that, straight from the disk, the game is a PowerPC application, and not compatible with new Macs. This was fixed by downloading an update from Aspyr, however, this update also required PowerPC to install.
Summary: I bought this game because I loved playing it years ago, and couldn't find the original disk any more. This game worked on my macbook, glad I bought it. After having fun with this game I have since gone on to buy both civ4 and civ5 for my mac.
Summary: How delighted I am that these guys are out there. Sad to say, my entire family is hooked on this game and although we have purchased versions 4 and 5, they are crap (Oh Sid, we miss you!). Thankfully these guys have the older version 3 and were able to deliver it in a timely way with perfect packaging. We manage to trash the disc every year or two so we will definitly be coming back to thse guys.
Summary: Not particuarly great. It does have colonies, which I love, but it is too expansive for me. Combat is annoying due to one unit who fights is destroyed. The scenarios, however, I enjoy! Once again, numbers required to win pisses me off! I like doing it germany through russia style!
Summary: Hearing good things about this, I tried it in 2010 without having the nostalgic sense around it. I enjoyed it, the learning curve was interesting and I wanted to know how good I could get at it. Some great features stood out, I even played it with a friend on LAN for awhile. But it being so dated, and lacking modern user-friendly polish that so many devlopment teams easily manage nowdays, it regretfully doesn't stand up to modern games.
