Summary: The majority of reviews and previews of this game all said that it would include all of the available DLCs (minus the Blood Pack) but it does not include any of them except for the Rise of the Samurai!! I am extremely disappointed and if this is a prediction of what is to come when Rome 2 Total War is released with a gold edition down the road, I doubt I'll be getting that game.
Summary: Amazing game play that is let down by the bug infested multi player that utterly breaks the game and makes it unplayable. The co-op campaign had to be started again twice at turn 7~ due to a bug that would mean the battle would show a black screen for both players and "please wait for the other player 299 seconds" This message would not go away no matter how many times we restarted the game.
Summary: I am a huge fan of most of the Total War games. Steam does make the game two stars in my book. Yes, Steam is part of the game. Sega made a mistake using Steam. I would return the game if I could. I will not buy another Sega product if they continue to use Steam.
Summary: first off your not buying the game. You are buying steam. When the game arrives you have to install steam from the CD's, then download the game. way annoying. The entire ordeal took me like 8 hours before i could play. Then you are stuck with updates before you can play. The last one took 22 hours to download. I kid you not. The game is fun, standard total war. If i get to play it again after all the downloads i might remember why i liked it.
Summary: UPDATE REVIEW: I'm starting to more corrupted save files now and lost hours of game-play, very frustrating! Reduced rating from 4 stars to 2 STARS. It was fun while it worked though. As another reviewer has stated, it's best to download the game from Steam. Just get the serial key from Amazon, activated and download it from Steam. Amazon's game download service has always been slow for me. I usually get about 2/3rds of my speed.
Summary: Ive been playing video games since I was about 5 years old. In the 23 years of playing videogames, I think this game is the buggiest game Ive ever played in my life. I have spent more time troubleshooting Shogun2 , and posting on the TW shogun2 support forums (username : slipp3ry) , than I have playing the game. Ive had to do such things as edit my boot.ini, remove ram, reinstall windows, adjust vram, reinstall drivers, etc, etc etc... it goes on and on..
good game but not programmed for mainstream deployment

Summary: bought this game so i could play it in my off-time while deployed to Base XX. Well it is safe to safe that i was very upset when i found out that my current graphics card on my 3 yr. old laptop can't push the game and it ended up being glitchy that the game is unplayable. Now one may say, "maybe you should just update your laptop..
Summary: Total War Shogun 2 bears less in common with the "roots" of the series, and more with Empire Total War and Napoleon Total War. It's virtually the exact same engine, with the exact same interface, look, and disappointing loss of features between Medieval II and Empire (as in, in Medieval II you could take prisoners on the field and ransom, release, or execute them, and all your units had about 3-4 different appearances on the field.
