Summary: It is stand alone Japanese warfare for all three era's. I am very impressed. The culture of the samurai is glorified, and intermingled within the culture. It is very insightful to what went on back then, and why things are the way they are today.
Summary: They created a graphical masterpiece here... Unfortunately, they over simplified unit production.... everyone seems to have the same units and it cheapens the experience by making geography the only differentiating factor. It lacks the diversity, simplicity, and playability of medieval 2. It would be great, if not for having to be judged against the first shogun and medievals.
Summary: The basic total war style remains the same. The graphics and map change but the game experience is much the same. I'd like something that spanned Civilization (Big tech tree) + Total War (big complex battles) + Individual level Role Playing (Dragon Age or Mount and blade) allow jumping between levels. However this game is much like Total War - Empire, just in Japan.
