Summary: A downloadable pack for "Total War: Shogun 2", "Rise of the Samurai" moves Shogun 2's gameplay from the Muromachi period (1500s) to the Heian period (1100s), with appropriate changes in art, units, and strategies.
Summary: I have played every Total War game since MTW and this is my least favorite. I think the best part of the Total War games is the variety. In this, there is really none to speak of. I am familiar with and understand this part of Japanese history.
Summary: I was really scheptic on purchasing this pack as the preview videos were too "Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill"-style to me. But most of the animations this pack has add more realism to the battles. The price was ok for the content.
Really good game, loved it along with the gameplay.

Summary: The game was really good with all the new units like the Modern Infantry units and Gatling Guns. Also the gameplay for the campaign was better than the regular Shogun 2 campaign because there were a lot more things to do (also bombartments and fortifications).
Summary: Amazing game play that is let down by the bug infested multi player that utterly breaks the game and makes it unplayable. The co-op campaign had to be started again twice at turn 7~ due to a bug that would mean the battle would show a black screen for both players and "please wait for the other...
Summary: So this patch really just makes the game a little more brutal. Blood spurts and splatters and heads roll. I found it entertaining enough for a dollar and thought it was worth it. It honestly adds nothing to gameplay beyond some eye candy.
Summary: So while I will admit that the entire download process was painfully long I havent had any problems. From the time of purchase to being able to play took me about 2 or 3 hours. It is able to start up fine and I havent had any problems with freezing during the game.
