Summary: Who is a German? A German is a piece of gadgetry which does what it is expected to do. And that's what this game is. I bought this title as part of research into a novel I am working on, and I am impressed by its factual presentation
Summary: I love this simulator it is a lot of fun controlling ships and boats. I only wish the color was better, because all the water is usually grey. But, other than that you will have a great time if you love ships.
Summary: Great game, it is one of the few naval simulation game out there. I recommend it to everybody who is into naval stuff. Graphics are great and controls too. Only few drawbacks, it is imposssssssssible to sink the boat even in heavy seas and it's impossible to have waves bigger than 4 meter high. There is some problems with the physics too, sometimes the boats react strangely in the water. Great game overall, can't wait for SS Extreme to come out.
Summary: I bought Ship Simulator for my 11 year old son who already had Flight Simulator 2002 and X-Plane. He loves it and enjoys it more than X-Plane. The missions are alot of fun but you will need alot of time to complete them as they are in real time. It takes a long time to load but it could be our computer. The directions are clear and easy to follow. I like the fact that even if you crash, you can keep going and not have to start over.
Summary: Ship Simulator is a decent product for a light-hearted simulation of powered ships. Using it, you can become the captain of a number of different vessels, including a supertanker, rescue vessel, various powerboats, and even the Titanic. Several world class harbors are accurately reproduced with realistic scenery and other boat traffic. The physics of powered boats are reasonably well done. A large number of missions take you from novice to expert ship driver.
