Entertaining and challenging!

  • Summary: As I was a bit unfamiliar with this type of game, it took a while to master the art of movement, but the game itself was very satisfying. Decent graphics, interesting story line.

  • Summary: This game is a stain on the Sherlock Holmes name. It's boring, it's wooden, it's just flat out awful. Awful graphics, awful voice acting, and the game is extremely hard. No, not the puzzles, the navigating! It feels like you're in a never-ending labyrinth of cobbled streets. While it may explain the ripper killings well, they should've just made a fictional crime. Don't buy this game!

The best game in the series so far

The Muvian, Amazon
10 August 2014
  • Summary: Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper is yet another game made in the same vein as Sherlock Holmes vs. Arsene Lupin. Not surprisingly, many of the elements of the former are very similar to the latter. However Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper is a better game of the two. First, the story is really engrossing and atmospheric, the graphics are fantastic and the characters are rather engaging. Second, the puzzles are better integrated into the plot.

I still have it in my library and may someday figure out how to play it because it looks good. This is the only game I have ever

  • Summary: I can not review the game because it came with a Code to enter to actually play, however my code did not work. I e-mailed someone at the publishers and they read me a different code (which was one number off)to use but that one did not work either. I still have it in my library and may someday figure out how to play it because it looks good. This is the only game I have ever had trouble with.

Pretty Hard

  • Summary: To me this game was too hard. I am 49 and just want games to kill time at work when there is slack. This game requires thinking and I found myself constantly have to consult the walkthrough. I couldn't get very far in this game and have put it aside for now.

Great game and story, with near perfect delivery

  • Summary: Sherlock Holmes v Jack is another stepping stone in Dreamcatchers gradual evolution in adventure gaming. Dreamcatcher used to be a joke, but more and more of what they produce has proven to be good approaching great, and there line of Sherlock Holmes games is making it more great than good. Playing periodically as Holmes and Watson, you follow Jack's murders through Whitechapel. The audio is excellent, and delivered perdominantly by people who know what they're doing.

Won't work

William Calcagni, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: This game doesn't load properly. It says I have an incompatible driver, and gave me instructions(on the web site) of how to fix the problem. All attempts were unsuccessful to download this driver. So the game stays in the box unplayed.

  • Summary: some of the puzzles were a bit wack or tending towards the grope and hope method which i didnt really care for. But i really liked the take on the ripper murders presented here, was worth the play just based on story.
