  • Summary: A really good example of sci-fi RPG mixed with bit of magic which is actually is another option to take fight. Great scenario, great game. I missed voiceover sometimes but it's not a big issue. Really worth to spend your time and money esp. if you're a sci-fi RPG fan.

  • Summary: This is well written game with compelling characters. RTS role playing games are one of my favorite genres. If you liked The first Fallout games or the recent MCOM games, you will love this one. Shadowrun creates a rich universe that keeps you interested and compelled throughout.

  • Summary: This is a pretty good game. I'd have given it 9/10 if not for the crashing trouble playing it on my iPad mini. I wasn't able to complete the final battle because of it. On the up side, it's got a great story and pretty good adherence to the ShadowRun feel (the rule system has been tweaked for greater simplicity).

Shadowrun Returns: Fantasy Cyberpunk Noir Tactical CRPG

  • Summary: Developer: Harebrained Schemes Release Date: July 25, 2013 The Seamstresses Union will have exactly what you need: A Fixer. Finding this necessary middleman and deal-broker is key to most plans involving shadowrunners. A good Fixer is worth the nuyen. It's their job to have the contacts and know who's good at what. They'll put together the team you need: magical supports, skilled street samurai for muscle, or a novahot decker for Matrix work.

  • Summary: After completing the game and spending some time working with the User Generated Content tools, I'm afraid I have to drop my original score from a 6 to 4. Below is my original review with some minor revisions to address the change in score: I was really stoked for a reboot of the CRPG version of Shadowrun, especially after Microsoft and FASA tried exploiting the world for a terrible FPS years ago.

An Incredibly Fun Indie RPG (with some very annoying hiccups)

  • Summary: So after seeing gameplay videos and the Replay of the original Shadowrun, I gave in after a long time being tempted and decided to drop $20 on this game.  For the most part, I have not been disappointed.  While I have not played the tabletop RPG (or any other, much to my eternal chagrin), I have frequently heard very entertaining stories, and this game has not disappointed.

  • Summary: Obviously, the game doesn't deserve a zero. Let's reserve zeroes for games that are released in an alpha state or are just well-disguised computer viruses. I want to like Shadowrun Returns, I really do. I was looking forward to this game for the full month before it came out, and while I was never a die-hard Shadowrun fan, I've always loved CRPGs, grit, grime, and sci-fi. The emphasis there should go on the CRPG part.

Not much of a CRITICAL look. more like indie slurp slurp.

  • Summary: Okay, all i have to say, is Checkpoints. this game, which is an rpg, where every choice makes a difference, is a checkpoint based game. if you die, you play through all the battles that you just played to get back to your place. you're saying, that this game deserves an 8.5 when it has a shoddy (yet stuffed in there) tutorial system, and NO CONTROL OVER SAVES? i mean, that alone is just JARRING. i almost couldnt believe it. my jaw dropped, "how can i not save right now?

  • Summary: Shadowrun Returns is nice. But nice isn't great. Which is a serious disappointment after all those enthusiastic videos from harebrained and those positive previews all over the net. The story is good. Sometimes it feels like it's written by a pubescent nerd, but anyone familiar with Shadowrun shouldn't be surprised by that. It fits the universe and is very entertaining. (+5) The only problem is, that it doesn't feel like any choice you make matters.
