Conclusion: Saints Row 4 is one of the most fun open world games in years in terms of story and characters. While you can play it just like the third title, by driving around and shooting, the super powers make it even more enjoyable, much more amusing, and quite refreshing as opposed to other open world titles.
Excerpt: An amazing addition to the Saints Row series! It doesn't take itself seriously, and you should not either. Full of laughs and over the top humor that any true gamer with a gamer’s humor will get and laugh out loud.
Excerpt: There’s always been something about the Saints Row games that prevented them from greatness, in my mind. Although the second and third games are fun enough open world romps, they were always missing that special something that made them “must plays,” or “instant recommendations.”

Excerpt: Saints Row IV is an epically meta mindfuck of a love letter to fans of Saints Row, which is to say an epically meta mindfuck of a love letter to videogame power fantasies. Profane, indulgent, sleek, varied, luminous, familiar, new, and brimming with the joy of chaotic chaos. No one does open worlds like Volition.
Excerpt: After years of Saints Row games that tried to take the spark of silliness in Grand Theft Auto and turn it into an entire game, developer Volition has apparently declared victory on that front and have taken on sci-fi, the Matrix, and superhero games as their next target. The end result is Saints Row IV , a game that started out as DLC for the third game but has thankfully been made into a fully fleshed-out sequel that's chock full of fun stuff to do, but there's also a...
Conclusion: I really enjoyed my time with Saints Row IV , far more than the previous two games. I found its story to be genuinely engrossing as it involves much more than eliminating street gangs and taking out the leader of an international crime syndicate. Saints Row IV is a long game as well, taking me close to fourteen hours to finish (and I still had a large number of side quests and Diversions to complete).
