Groundbreaking in its day, the continued mod support and timeless challenge make this game a must-play for PC gamers

Summary: Let me begin with a warning: this game is not easy. We live among a generation of gamers raised to believe that 'realism' involves Ramirez dashing back and forth between flaming husks of APCs, eating bullets like breathmints, and constructing a mosaic to freedom with the bodies of the terrorists he's killed. I began Stalker with that mindset. The first quest you receive begins by offering you the support of 3 or 4 NPCs to help storm a facility held by 10 or so enemies.
Summary: This is a fantastic game. I played it years ago and wanted to get it agin to play some more. Its the first of three games in the series and each of them is really well done except clear sky, which is very buggy and needs some polish. This is a game from '07 so dont expect cutting edge anything. But it is a really solid FPS with an exceptional story line.
Summary: As a huge RPG fan, let me lead off by saying that this game is NOT an RPG. Games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas are RPGs with some FPS elements - in those, you level up and improve your character while enemies level up along with you, with extensive side quests to improve your character. In STALKER, you don't level up. The character progression is based on acquiring new equipment and on your improvement as a player of the game.
Summary: This game is alot of fun. Its like a very early fallout but a little more modern in the way they dress and act. The graphics are alittle out dated but nothing wrong with that. I play fallout new vegas and i still want to play this game knowing my options =P its different in its own way but still fun. I bought it cause it runs on my last available computer while i fix the other.
Summary: This is a game I’ve followed since it was in my PC Magazine… and that was back in 2002.So my expectations was high, when I’ve finally got some time with the game, and one thing is sure, it haven’t disappointed me, one bit, it just keep surprising me. And there’s so many things 2 do in game that you can’t even imagine. If I should put some phrases on the game it’s a “RPG FPS” Which I’ve haven’t seen anywhere before.
Summary: The game is S-W-EET! It's like an FPS/RPG hybrid- just playt! Love the story, the atmosphere, monsters, characters, everything. I've never played a game like it before. The only thing that keeps bugging me is the limit to how much you can carry. You have a backpack to keep stuff in and what not, but your total weight you can without getting super tired super fast is something like 50lbs.
Summary: Let me just say..this game was a first ever played first person shooter ..free roam game i have ever played .. ive also read there were some bechmarks in the 90's like dune ..and for the legend gamers out there "system shock" ..and many others .....i absolutely had no idea what i was doing or what to expect before i purchased this game in 2006...lol...in 2005 ...i was like ...i got to get into this computer more often ..
Summary: This Game is one of the best FPS games I have played. It is sort of a mix between a First person shooter and a role playing game, especially Fallout. The game is very dynamic and has more than one ending. The possibilities of what you can do with your interactions with the a-life and with the in-game factions are huge. Making allies with one will lead to hostilities with another. There are a lot of great mods out there for STALKER.
Summary: You can, if you sit back and think about it afterwards, find flaws in the game. But the truth is that they don't matter, because while the game is running you are IN the Zone. The Zone is a strange, malformed area around the wreckage of the Chernobyl reactor. (Think Tarkovsky on radioactive steroids.) Once it sucks you in, it is very hard to get out again. Becasue the truth is that the Zone is a world, and like any world, it has its own rules, and its own inner logic.
Fantastic setting which can really get you into the game

Summary: The environment in this game is awesome, everything seems to fit so well you don't even think twice about why there is this or that. Along with a great sound track, it really sets the mood as you travel through the Zone. I would highly recommend downloading the new patch `FIRST'. There are a few glitches here and there but I never ran into anything I had to reload/restart over. Also, the new patch will not be able to play any of your pre-patch saved games.
