Summary: This interactive game is still on the leading edge of action games even though it is over 5 years on the market. Updates to keep up the interest are still available so it is a good program. Game can be played for all out speed or step back and plan strategy. Realistic and fun for all. Got my grandson interested in it so I think the multiplayer feature is going to be in my future!! Highly recommended. Contains a history lesson that is fun to absorb!!
Summary: Rome: Total war is a great game. There are many great things about the game, and a few irritants. First the pros. The graphics are great, especially for a game that was made in '05 (or '06, can't remember). I built a new pc with a radeon hd 4850 graphics card, and can easily have all the details maxed out and it looks great. Second is the music. The music soundtrack is large, with a different track for each situation you might be in.
Summary: Love the concept, it has some bugs you have to mess with at certain points in the game that cause it to crash. So if your not a little tech savvy you may get frustrated, but the game is lots of fun.
Summary: Lots of fun, good strategy game for both massive-army combat and civilization sim. takes lots of time to do a campaign-a very long time, and the campaign can get a little trying b/c it takes lots of time/energy to manage all the cities, move armies around, etc. Overall lots of fun.
Summary: Game Play 4 of 5 stars Graphics 4 of 5 stars Sound 4 of 5 stars A.I. 4 of 5 stars Pros: Cons: Overall: This is a good title and will provide several hours of entertainment. Had to install an automatic update to allow the game to resume from pause mode after a saved game load. Please note: this title was reviewed using a Dell XPS Gen 4, P4 HT @ 3.20 GHz, 4 Gig RAM, Dual 160 SATA RAID(0) hard drives and a nVidia GeForce 6800 256mb PCIe video adapter.
Summary: The third game in the Total War series, Rome: Total War is also the most enjoyable. Command one of three Roman factions, or lead a non-Roman people to dominate the European continent, North Africa and parts of the Middle-East. The game focuses on improving your cities, conquering new ones, improving and expanding your armies and navy and striking diplomatic deals with other countries and empires.
