This game did NOT teach me how to play the guitar. Misleading.

Summary: If you want to learn how to play the guitar, don't purchase this item. If you want to learn how to play a specific song(s), purchase this item. Rocksmith is another one of those, learn how to play song X, not learn how to play guitar.
Summary: Its alright I guess. I don't think its as cool as the rest of the world feels it is, but I guess its got its purpose for some people. I learned the traditional way 13 years ago. I bought this to give me an interesting way of staying polished up, a change of pace.
Summary: Originally I just hacked in my guitar through my mixer and sound card. Unfortunately you can't play multiplayer that way. The cable is the most idiotic thing ever, and the real con to Rocksmith. I 30 buck cable is NOT going to out perform my 200 dollar SB ZxR.
Summary: Game has lots of trouble recognizing chords sometimes. I've checked the intonation of my guitar and verified that the tuning isn't off when fretting notes to ensure it's not a string height problem.
Summary: I bought this cable to use with GarageBand on my iPad Mini. (in conjunction with the Apple Lightning USB Camera Connection Kit.) First off, the Rocksmith cable plus Apple Lightning CCK does work with the iPad.
Summary: The idea is great and the game itself is not bad but the way the music is presented to you in game is difficult to read at best and impossible at times and it is not like any established type of music notation.
Summary: Okay, let me just be clear here for a moment: this review is for the Real Tone cable and not Rocksmith itself. Rocksmith, as a game, is the most fun way to improve guitar skill and fretboard agility - if you take the time to configure the audio correctly to minimize lag and such.
Summary: The game is fine and I enjoy it very much. Nevertheless there are few things I didn't like that much - pausing hides the board so if you want to pause to see something or prepare for a fret it doesn't work - The game navigation is a bit wierd.
