Summary: After two weeks, the original cable that came with the game started to buzz so badly that it interfered with the Rocksmith game. I ordered a replacement cable, and after 4 days, the replacement cable began to buzz just like the original. I am now on my 3rd cable, and so far, so good.
Summary: This is aweful. I had to buy it just to be able to get the songs I wanted on Rocksmith 2014. What a way to scam more money out of you. This game sucks I am way past beginner on the guitar. And this game you can't skip past all the beginner crap. It freezes up the computer then crashes it.
Summary: I would have rated it a little bit better If I could get it to work. I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 desk computer operating on windows 8.1 64 bit; and Steam, which I have to install prior installing the game NEVER WORKED in this computer, no matter how many times I tried to re-install it or download it...
Summary: a lot of fun to play with at first. Then she gets all finicky and high maintenance. Spends all her time hissing at you and ruining all your fun. Then out of the blue she just quits you, never to be heard from again. I received Rocksmith as a gift, and this review is for the included cable.
Summary: I have a good gaming computer that I ALSO use for audio recording / postproduction and blah blah. I deal with a lot of audio softwares and this is the most laggy software I have ever seen. We are talking about probably 400 ms lag... this can be really anoying.
They designed this cord so that if any part breaks ...
Jake Buckley, Amazon
17 July 2012
Summary: They designed this cord so that if any part breaks inside of it, you'll have to shell out another $30 to buy a new one. Alternative designs could have allowed the user to plug in their current guitar cords and simply turn this into adapter.
Summary: I see why they made the wire mandatory for PC (so Ubisoft doesn't have sale imbalances because the PC version would outsell because it would be cheaper and less worry for piracy on PC) but its one thing to force people to buy it, but making it $30 and calling it Real Tone???
Summary: The installation process is complex and takes forever. And when you think it's finished, you need to wait another eternity. The latency makes the game actually unnuseable. You play a note and hundreds of ms later you finally hear the sound.
Summary: The initial setup will frustrate you, trying to make it so when you pluck a string you can hear it imediatly is very tedious. That being said once you get the setup done its pretty good, as a guitar player I wan to get the game to learn more songs...
