Summary: Good idea for a new player, or even a more experience one. It takes the songs and puts them in a game setting similar to Guitar Hero or Rockband. For people like myself, that makes practicing more appealing and easier to get into.
Summary: Rocksmith is a great way to learn guitar, but it isn't perfect. Sometimes it seems to pick things up wrong, but that could be my guitar and not the program's fault. All in all, it works pretty well. You'll find yourself playing simple songs in a matter of days and complex ones in a matter of weeks.
Summary: Bottom line, if your looking to learn to play guitar and you don't already have it, this is a great game, buy it. You plug your real electric guitar, into your game system, and you really learn to play it. It works for left and right handers, it has mirror view for left handers.
Summary: Just wanted to comment on this game. I purchased the game last week from gamestop which has it on sale right now for 40 bucks and that includes the cable. The game is great and even my 8 yr old is now showing an interest in trying to play (you can have 2 people play at the same time).
Terrible installation, but not a terrible game, in fact it is a good game

Summary: most people would be upset by its lack of an offline non steam non uplay mode. the only reason i would want a DVD is to probably not be restricted in my installation of said program onto multiple PCs without restriction.
Summary: This game requires Rocksmith usb/guitar cord. It takes a while for it to set up, configuring, connecting to store account like Steam and downloading. It's a great way to practice a song. You can break a song out into sections, you can slow down the pace, or add more difficulty to the songs.
Summary: (THIS IS FOR THE PC VERSION) This may be a common problem in today's world, but I haven't bought a video game since the early '90s so I was extremely pissed when I bought a hard copy of a game and wasn't allowed to play it because Steam ran out of CD keys for Rocksmith2014.
Summary: As a novice I am going to tell you what I like - which is a lot, and a little of what I don't love. Lets break it down into basic area: Installation - OK if you have read other reviews you probably know by now that to install Rocksmith on a MAC you need to first have Steam installed on your...
Summary: The PC version has a bit of an issue with the USB interface compared to my old Rocksmith on Xbox, but I'm thinking that has more to do with my system powering my USB 2 interfaces. After cycling the interface to directly on the board instead of headers, and computer restart it works fine.
