Summary: Constantly registers my low E string as a half step high, even though it's tuned properly and shows as tuned properly in game. When playing any song I have to play that string one half step lower than it shows on screen or be penalized in game.
Summary: After trying this for a couple of months I'm ready to weigh in. First off I should explain that I'm an intermediate guitarist and have been playing for years. I thought this would be a fun way to learn new songs and possibly improve my chops. In this regard Rocksmith isn't a complete fail. It can help you do those things. There a bit of a learning curve since your brain is forced to learn the music in a new way which isn't as intuitive as basic tab.
Rocksmith is awesome but the tuning in this version is miserable

Summary: I struggled like crazy with the tuning page! I played 2013 version quite a bit but I gave up on this one. When I only have 20 minutes to sit down and play around I don't want to spend the entire time in the tuning screen. I read a lot of tricks and tried them all without much success.
Summary: I would give it one star, except I know that if you can get it to work you'll enjoy it. But it doesn't work on my pc - the tuner does not work, and if it doesn't see you're in tune it won't work - and there is no support. Many, many people have the same issue I do, and we are all ignored. There are people telling novices to get more expensive guitars, have their guitars taken apart, and many other pieces of bad advice - but it's not the guitars, it's the program.
Summary: I've been playing guitar for 11 years and spend most of my time on acoustic guitar but I bought this game to increase my use and repertoire on electric guitar. It has accomplished that--to a point--but not without some major frustration: THE PROS: - You'll find a lot of creative games to teach basic skills like scales, slides, vibrato, etc.

Summary: First let me say I also own RS 2014 for PS3 so the software is great fun. No doubts or complaints there. But when I purchased the PC version to install on my laptop so I can go down in the basement, garage, or a friends house to play, I saw many versions online for under $25, but they required a Steam Account to purchase. Something I really wasn't interested in doing and I was apprehensive not being one who normally purchases PC games.
Summary: I've been playing the guitar and singing in working bands for over 40 years but never learned to play lead guitar (someone else always did that). So I figured if there is something this inexpensive out there that can help me improve my playing, I owe it to myself to try it. Let me re-emphasize, I am ALREADY a decent guitar player with a good knowledge of chords, progressions, notes, etc. and this program is difficult for me to comprehend.

Summary: I purchased this software with the high hopes of learning Bass. Rocksmiths intentions as grand as they are at times just left me shaking my head and saying to myself what the…. From a beginners perspective when playing a song, the designers for whatever reason decided to present the fret board in a horizontal manner, meaning the entire fret board does not fit on the screen, so during a song which covers more than four fret positions the graphical user interface is...
