Summary: The first game is much more interesting. This one just doesn't bring the same feel to it that the first game did. That being said it's a fairly solid title. Worth picking up if you see it on sale for cheap.
Good Game, But Piranha 'Bytes' More Than They Can Chew

Summary: As a long time Gamer who still hail Gothic 1 and 2 as two of the very best Action RPGs ever made, and who was happy to see PB (Piranha Bytes) took wings and rose once again from the Gothic 3 ashes with Risen 1, I really look forward to Risen 2.
Summary: Ok, so when I sit down to play a Pirahna Byte (PB) game (which I've been doing since Gothic), there are certain things I know to expect and not to expect. I expect a good story, engaging characters, lush, vibrant, cheesy, outdated graphics, caves everywhere, and lots of character/class choices with...
Summary: This game was decent at best. The character and model animations were clunky and outdated, and the combat system was mediocre at best. Playing through the story felt more like a chore than anything else. Other than that, I really liked the game.
Summary: Having bought the special edition of Risen 2 Dark Waters, with a few special 'goodies', Although I knew I had to activate it via Steam, I did not expect to have to download my extras also via Steam.
Excerpt: Risen II is one of the games you play won't regret. It has a compelling story and continues right after the end of Risen I. You play the nameless hero from part 1 after his adventures on the island Faranga. Together with Petty (from part 1) you have to fight against a female titan lord called Mara.
Pros: Graphics, Storyline, a must have for gothic enthusiasts
Cons: new menues, picklock cannot break, instant recover from potion use
Summary: Piranha Bytes - developers who created my favourite RPG games (Gothic 1, Gothic 2 with DLC and Gothic 3). I was so hyped up for this game that I just simply ignored all the reviewers who simply said that this game is barley an average one. Yet they were right.
Summary: Das Spiel selbst gefällt mir.
