Conclusion: Rise of Prussia is a solid but unspectacular slice of neoclassical strategy gaming that is worth a look if you are a die-hard fan of AGEOD's previous efforts, or if you're a strategy buff looking for a new challenge. And possibly if you have an obsession for white wigs.
Excerpt: Harmony is tough to maintain in a relationship. The constant tug-of-war between give and take can lead to as much strain as it does euphoria, but like a good whiskey, a well tuned relationship can improve with age. Since its original PC launch in 2002, the Sims series has taught us that there’s more to life than locking your sim in a prefabricated prison. There’s a big, bad Simmy world out there to explore and EA have finally squeezed it onto the iPhone.
Excerpt: Rise of Prussia is hot off the press and probably won’t cool down for a while. AGEOD – that’s AGE Studio to you and I – has been creating historical strategy games since 2005 and has clearly got very good at it very quickly. Rise of Prussia takes place as the Seven-Years-War kicks off in 1756. This is a game about the war that you should have been taught about at school.
Excerpt: There was a time when the PC strategy genre was an exploit that owed more to tabletop games than it did any other gaming genre. The genre certainly had its hardcore and loving fanbase, but it was always associated with that very specific niche as it barely broke ground with the casuals. Then came Warcraft, StarCraft, Command & Conquer, and a host of other strategy titles that pulled it out of the niche and propelled the series into mainstream popularity.
Excerpt: There are many different permutations of the PC strategy genre. Turn based or real time, empire building or action focused, and most recently, the RPG/RTS hybrid that has popped up thanks to games like Dawn of War 2 . While there are many different types, the one thing they all have in common is that modern PC strategy games have evolved to the point where intense micromanagement has been swept under the rug in favor of system UIs and gameplay systems that either manage...
Conclusion: Overall this game is good and that’s coming from someone who until playing this game, hadn’t played a turn based strategy game. The game is very in-depth and is one of the games that can have “Easy to pick up; hard to master” said about it.
Pros: Deep game play. Easy to pick up. Games can last a long time. Looks pretty.
Cons: Interface can be a bit awkward to navigate with the mouse. Music loops and gets irritating.
нацелена Rise of Prussia .
