ROF needs to get fixed, but its a good game.
8 February 2010
Summary: There are bugs that should be fixed, such as blue grid on snow. The techs are very responsive to your problems. The game is difficult for me, which is the way I like it. Great graphics, realism, but the system requirements are very high. There are times I don't really know if its my system or a bug that is causing a problem.
Summary: This game has alot of ey candy. Graphics are beautiful, Highly detailed aircraft. But.... if you dont have a high end computer youll have a slideshow and a constant internet connection is REQUIRED to play. The required internet connection and the extremly long loading times is what kills it for me thus only 3 stars.

The game's visuals and realism are what first captured my attention, and they continue to be the strong points of this WWI combat simulator. The developer, neoqb, is a Russian-based startup. Rise of Flight is their first AAA release, and they are clearly still learning the ropes -- albeit with good intentions.
Summary: Ok, I have been flying this sim now for a couple of weeks. I will be as objective as possible. First the bad items. The game has the potential to be one of, if not the greatest flight sim so far. In my opinion it was released to early. It basically has no manual, the one included with the game can be read in 5 minutes. It does have a good map of the flying area that comes with it though.
Summary: A WWI Sim created in Russia!! A pleasant surprise, and a refreshing approach to Sim flying. The game is still in it's formative stage, but it's creativity and concentration on WWI aircraft and Missions is educational as well. This is flying at it's birth and at it's rawest and best--no electronic control assists,no magical electronic aids to find your way around,no missile tracking, or defensive alerts--here you fly with feel, senses, command of where you are through your...
