Revelations 2012

2 September 2013
  • Summary: Revelations 2012 first came to my attention when a random Twitter pal recommended it, presumably under the impression that I would find something to love in the same way I regularly watch Alien Resurrection and enjoy every shameful second. The trouble is, Alien Resurrection is so bad it's good, and even offers a number of genuinely entertaining moments. Revelations 2012 , on the other hand, just makes me angry.

Revelations 2012 Review

4 May 2012
  • Excerpt: The end of the world has arrived, and things are looking grim. Ancient Mayans swarm sacred temples, running up and down walls as if the laws of gravity have been repealed. Boulders pop into existence and fall to the ground, squishing you underneath. Your friends fall down shafts to their deaths, as they have somehow become incapable of using ladders.
  • Pros: A competitive mode with real potential
  • Cons: Abysmal, random combat scenarios with no sense of actual design, Rotten friendly AI with suicidal tendencies, Shooting lacks impact, Weird enemy behavior that defies the laws of physics, Horrible implementation of booby traps

Review: Revelations 2012

25 April 2012
  • Conclusion: Without a doubt, the game is much more fun with human teammates. We really must stress how valiant an effort the game is when you take into account that this is the first game from Dark Artz Entertainment . With plenty of replay value from the various game modes and great opportunities for DLC, we hope people give it a chance. However, the price is perhaps a little too high for the game, which may very well put people off.
