Leopoldo Elias Cuevas, Amazon

Crape-ville Resident

stigster10, Ebay
3 August 2010
  • Summary: Was recommended this peace of software by a co-worker. I was always into action games, but nothing really compares to this. Didn't even finish the things, as it seemed pretty "unnatural" to move around with the 3rd person view.

Pretty good port of a mediocre game

John, Amazon
17 November 2009
  • Summary: Resident Evil 5 was not a particularly good example of Resident Evil in my opinion, and a somewhat boring example of a supposedly 'survival-horror' game. The problem with a PC version is that some crippling flaws in the game itself are best solved with the joy of splitscreen multiplayer.

Bland and Consolized

RAF, Amazon
17 November 2009
  • Summary: Resident Evil 5 is the sequel to the hit game Resident Evil 4. Unfortunately, Resident Evil 5 lacks almost everything that made RE4 a good game in the first place: interesting characters, a lot of well done boss battles, decent plot, and most of all, moments that are actually scary.

Poor controls ruin it

mesmerick, Amazon
2 May 2014
  • Summary: If you like FPS games this one looks great and the movement is fluid enough. However, the control system totally ruins any playability. I assume this is due to a bad console port but, in any event, it is, IMHO, totally unplayable which is a crying shame.

Doesn't stand up to the early games in the series

Burning_Darkness, Dooyoo
25 September 2011
  • Excerpt: The fifth instalment in the Resident Evil franchise differs considerably from its predecessors in a number of ways. First of all, whilst the game is still played in third-person, the game no longer requres you to move through a series of static pre-rendered screens, but rather adopts the standard...

RE'95

123abc, Play.com
16 November 2009
  • Conclusion: Rubbish control system from 1995, really theres no excuse for being forced to aim, or turn on the spot. I guess that being able to move and fire at the same time would make to much sense so they removed it, or rather couldnt be bothered adding it in the first place.
