Excerpt: It took a bit of ingenuity but after a few internet searches, I was well on my merry way and watched as the RE5 demo booted up on my 360. I first took a moment to appreciate my role as Chris Redfield, hero of the original Resident Evil . Seeing this prominent gaming figure given a complete graphic makeover was a sight to behold and it reminded me of just how far this series has comes over the last 12 years.
Excerpt: The Resident Evil series has earned legions of fans since its debut in 1996, having begun on the original PlayStation then flitting from console to console with subsequent iterations. Every now and again, a title in the series gets ported to the PC, usually long after it has worn out its welcome on whatever console for which it has originally been developed.
Summary: A year after releasing Resident Evil 5, Capcom is back with the exciting conclusion to the story. In this Jill-centric DLC we get plenty of zombies to shoot at, a tense countdown to worry about and a brand new sidekick that barely says a word. And even though it doesn't contain a single haunted mansion, Desperate Escape more than makes up for it with its all-out action.
Summary: Nobody can fault Capcom for putting the suspense back in the Resident Evil franchise; I only wish there were more genuine scares. As it is, Lost in Nightmares is a solid adventure with a compelling location to explore. It's marred by a short (and insanely easy) campaign and a boss fight that was literally pulled directly from Resident Evil 5. The price is right for this expansion ... it's the length that is all wrong.

It's action packed, tense, scary, brilliantly paced, full of "wow" moments, features incredible visuals, is jammed full of replay value and surprises from start to finish. Four years later gamers expect this and more from Resident Evil 5.
