Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm

Strategy Informer
14 July 2013
  • Conclusion: Rising Storm is a great antidote to the - let's call them 'console influenced' shooters out there. It rewards precision and team-work, rather than bunny hopping, quick-scoping and all that other nonsense. With some really strong maps that do a great job of funnelling the action, a varied line-up of classes and the team-focused game-play Rising Storm is a real treat for those who like their shooters large scale and tactical.

Review: Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm

Everyday Gamers
8 July 2013
  • Summary: I’ve already written a preview lauding all of the features Rising Storm employs, here .  The reason you are reading this is to see if all of those features that sound great on paper bring the player a great game.  My answer is a resounding ‘YES’.  I was a huge fan of the original game, and I am loving the changes Rising Storm brings.  The mechanics work great, from the original bolt action rifle gunplay to the new weapons and features.
  • Pros: Completely new twist on already fantastic gameplay, Unbalanced sides enhance the game, New weapons and attributes to explore, Tripwire did a fantastic job of avoiding community fracturing
  • Cons: Can’t think of a negative!

Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm

IGN
27 June 2013
  • Conclusion: Well-designed maps, two dramatically different sides in the Americans and Japanese, and authentic feeling weapons make Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm an excellent and unique-feeling first-person shooter. It just needs more players, and a little patience. For $20, it’s one of the best military FPS games I’ve played. I’d say it deserves both.
  • Pros: Unique sides, Rewarding shooting, Awesome flamethrower
  • Cons: Japanese are weak on offense, Few players

Rising Storm for Red Orchestra 2

Hooked Gamers
11 June 2013
  • Conclusion: The game reminds me of the English language: It’s easy to learn but hard to master. Even as a veteran player of shooters, I get killed a lot in this game. After playing today’s most popular shooters, I’m used to being able to see my targets clearly and to take a few hits before going down and I love the fact that that is not on the table here. If your enemy hides better than you do, you’re f*cked. If your enemy is better at calculating distances, f*cked again.
  • Pros: Realistic combat; a great setting; a true test of skill.
  • Cons: Some latency issues on bigger servers.

Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm im Test

GameStar
9 July 2013

Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm (+Video)

Gamezoom.NET
4 July 2013
  • Cons: angestaubte Grafik, kaum Neuerungen, schwerer Einstieg

2 July 2013

Red Orchestra 2 - Rising Storm

discshop.se
30 June 2013
