Summary: I bought this game because it was cheap and I was in the mood for a little run-and-gun action. I remembered the original Red Faction and how much fun it was (at the time, anyways) to stand on the ground with a rocket launcher and a bunch of ammo, and dig yourself a tunnel with it. Until you realized you were stuck down there and couldn't get back out.
Some aspects were fun and some were not, a story about destruction

Summary: So I got this game because it was pretty cheap such as around 10 dollars US and because I had a slight interest in it ever since I heard it was going to come out after I had played Red Faction Guerrilla. I really enjoyed Red Faction Guerrilla even though it had its problems it was still quite fun. When I saw reviews of this game when it first came out I lost quite a bit of interest in it.
Summary: Well, this seemed to be a classic alien shoot em up game with some nice guns and unique features. Destructible environments, which also repairable. I had the graphics settings maxed out with 1080p and dont know why it would make my radeon hd 5770 slow down a bit in some areas and it shouldn't.The graphics shouldn't warrant a higher end card. It looks a bit cartoony and kind of looks like the Unreal engine from doom 3, a little more polished but not much.
Summary: So the last Red Faction game featured a sandbox style of play, and while the open terrain was fun to travel through and the "cities" were fun to destroy, it became tedious to meet timed objectives when you had to drive for 10 minutes... Red Faction Armageddon solved this by making it into a linear experience. The first action in-game was astounding. The new destructive engine was tangible.
Conclusion: RF Guerrilla was brilliant. RF Armageddon, is different in that the GTA free roaming is gone, its now a third person shooter. There are a lot of good 3P shooters around, this is ok, its solid, but I just felt there was nothing new, and after R.E.G, it was a bit of a letdown. The magnet gun is quite cool, but the linerar gameply is not brilliantly done, there is a distinct "console" feel. Saying that its worth 5 - 10 quid.
Summary: I give this game an average rating but think it was quite good because there
were some good parts but most of it I thought was very average. I have the
predecessor this game and finished it, and I thought was an excellent game.
This one did not have the same flexibility on where you could go and the story
line was somewhat linear I thought. Someone else might have a better opinion
than me but I thought this was fairly average overall.
