  • Summary: I was pleased with the prompt delivery of both products. At the time and probably still Rainbow Six 3 was/is a difficult title to find. Thanks Overstock.com for having the very thing I needed! As for the game, RS3 is a challenging first person shooter built on the Unreal engine, if you enjoy a game with a fair amount of realism in a modern day environment (and you don't have a monster PC) then this game is for you.

a saga is born...

goblingee, Ciao
2 December 2008
  • Excerpt: "...the 1st game in the Tom Clancey "Rainbow Six" saga. Although now fairly dated this game is a classic and should in my opinion be owned by all and any fans of 1st person shooters, I still get this game out and play it and have done since 1998. I find this game to be highly addictive and a huge ammount of fun. Basically the deal is, its 1999 and the world is full of all sorts of terrorist threats (sound farmilliar?) There is a secret international ...
  • Pros: fantastic for its time, still great fun and highly addictive
  • Cons: a bit dated now

how can we prevent terrorism and save lives

mohamedk, Ciao

  • Excerpt: "Terrorism generally seems to take over where the spoken word fails and is sustained by hatred passed from father to son. How can you feel no compassion for families torn apart by blood shed, who may feel that their only option is to take an eye for an eye? If the powers-that-be feel that the legal system can in any way take on these strong beliefs and extreme emotional reactions, I suspect they are missing the "point". I think the answers ...

  • Excerpt: "Sneaking around buildings, encampments and jungles is not my idea of fun but you really really cant knock this game. Its superb. Its based loosely around an S.A.S. type crack commando unit set up to tackle terrorists around the world. You start off this game by getting a briefing from your commanding officer. He tells you what lies ahead. Its then down to you to pick your team for the job. Up to 8 soldiers split amongst 4 teams. Each member ...

A real world game

Kinny, Ciao
25 January 2001
  • Excerpt: "It's been a long time since anyone has made a game based on the real realistic world rather than just monsters and magic. They gameplay is great. The planning stage is not boring if you play for a while. After you play a mission a few times you will want to plan the mission. The weapons are very realistic. You can also modify most properties in the game like the accuracy of firearms and the rate of fire among many other things. You can also bring ...

Rainbow 6- You're missing all the fun!

Mopemaste..., Ciao
5 November 2000
  • Excerpt: "Rainbow 6: Gold Edition is a good buy, usually about £20 now and inside you get the game, an add-on and the strategy guide. This is a classic game that has you controlling and setting up teams of special forces. Once you have your teams organised, you go for a mission with lots of guns and equipment to help in hostage situations, bomb threats, embassy problems etc. The 1 player mode is cool, but the multiplayer is one of the best online experiences ...
  • Pros: loads of stuff, multiplayer etc
  • Cons: not a lot at all !

Rainbow Six

Creative, Ciao
28 August 2000
  • Excerpt: "...has just been released is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. The game proposes that an international team of highly trained anti-terrorist / hostage rescue specialists has finally come into being. This force is used to defuse situations that may be too politically charged or dangerous for one nation to do alone. While this game has some bugs and hiccups, it has something that very few games seem to display these days, real character. It may not be everyone's ...

  • Excerpt: "This is a good game that offers good graphics and good gameplay. For this game you will need a compuetr that is a high spec at least 350mhz and at least 64 mega bytes ,if you do not have at least then it will not be avery good game for you.It will be slow and poor graphics but if you do have these specifications then you are very lucky as this game will work a dream. The graphics are very good and the movement of the characters is great it is very realistic ...

Macadoshi..., Ciao
20 July 2000
  • Excerpt: "If your looking for a realistic game to buy chooses this, you start of with a handful of men, about 40 or so. With these men you have to successfully complete 18missions, which range from a ruined Kosovo town, to a Persian fortress to a nuclear power plant. On each of these missions you can take a maximum of eight men to plant explosives, rescue hostages, plant surveillance devices and so on. There is a massive selection of weapons, around 50, ...
