Summary: Okay so I waited for this game to be around 10-20 bucks before buying it. I saw video reviews of it for a while and screenshots and trailers. They got me pretty excited but the fact was that at the time this came out for 60 dollars and already there was talk about problems with graphics and such put me off and allowed me to wait before buying it. When I got it I realized man this is a fun game even though there are problematic graphical bugs and just regular bugs.
Summary: I don't know about you but I suprised to learn that 3 disks I bought here mean very little to Valve. Do you have a Steam account, you're gonna need one. You can't do anything without it. My problems are with Valve and its spawn Steam. The game play is awesome, Steam not so much.
Summary: I recently completed id's Rage for the PC, so I decided to post a review of the game. Here are ten important things you need to know: 1. Gameplay - Simply put, Rage is fun. The controls feel smooth and natural as you progress through an exciting world of action and suspense. The gameplay is mostly linear, but there is enough variety to keep it interesting. Furthermore, the sidequests are fun, and they mesh well with the pace of the game.
Summary: If only Rage would have kept going in the direction it was going, that being a very rich and triumphant direction. Even though part 2 is nowhere near as rich as part 1, or as rich as part 1 promised part 2 would be, Rage is still a stunning well made game, and without a doubt John Carmack's finest work since the original Doom. ...
Summary: I only got this game as it was on sale , but boy was I blown away, the
graphics are crisp and gorgeous, and it was not just mindless shooting too ,had
good missions and plenty of verity , plus the Anarchy edition comes with a handy
few extras plus a wasteland sewer mission pack
Conclusion: On launch day there was a huge mass of bugs apparently, as you can see from the review by 'COD4Fan'. However, the developers insisted it was due to drivers. I have not experienced any problems and neither has my friend who I have co-op'd with. Great fun on co-op playing together. As for single player, I haven't played that yet.
Conclusion: Having played other games from the developer over the years (Quake, Doom etc) I purchased this for a pure FPS experience. Judging the game in this way i did thoroughly enjoy it. It did definatly live up to the ID games of old, Lots of corridors, guns increasing in size every so often, a few jumpy moments, lots of blood and exploding bodyparts. AWESOME! Add an extra racing and vehicle dimension to break the game up a little and i was hooked from start to finish.
