Summary: I used to be really into FPS probably last FPS game I played was Doom 3 which was OK but Rage is more like Doom 3 should have been. Game looks great and I love how the characters are so lifelike when you talk to them or shoot them!
Summary: I decided to buy the disks rather than downloading from Steam because that can take up to a day to finish. I thought I would buy the disks and have the install done in 15 to 30 minutes. It turns out that when you run the installer, it has to connect to Steam and its installs from there rather than from the disks. I looked on the Steam forums and there are other people who have had the same issue with no workaround that actually works.
Summary: When Rage first came out at a ridiculously high price I didn't buy it because I read all the terrible reviews. Only after I saw it on Amazon for a bargain bin price did I finally get it-and Im glad that I waited. Rage is completely uninspired. Everything is on a small scale. Comparing it to Borderlands is like trying to compare our solar system to the entire universe. The entire Rage game has less content than a single Borderlands map.
racing game instead fo first shooter adventure game
2 October 2013
Summary: At first I thought this was going to be like Fallout, but it soon turned into a racing game where you have to complete races to progress in the game. I didn't buy this game to race dune buggies around. I was very disappointed. If they wanted to have a racing game then they should have sold it as a racing video game.
Could've been a lot of fun with usable PC controls
17 February 2013
Summary: This game could've been a lot of fun, but the lousy vehicle controls for the PC (ADWS and SHIFT) kept me from being able to do much for driving accuracy. And since driving vehicles is an integral part of the game, and is introduced at that integral level very early on, that means I really can't play the game even through the first chapter. It was a complete waste of money in my opinion, and I'm even more ticked off since it COULD have been so much fun.
Summary: It took awhile to get used to the blurring graphix on PC...weird reflections, blurring, constant 'refocusing' going on... and I read a lot of reviews complaining about the graphix, so I know it's not just me! Even running 2 8800 GSOs in SLI configuration wasn't enought to make it happy...oh well. Great gameplay, fun adventures, varying scenes, vehicles, weapons, interaction with other characters, things to find, buy, sell, it really keeps ya busy!
The ending might make you rage but its still a fun game

Summary: Okay so I waited for this game to be around 10-20 bucks before buying it. I saw video reviews of it for a while and screenshots and trailers. They got me pretty excited but the fact was that at the time this came out for 60 dollars and already there was talk about problems with graphics and such put me off and allowed me to wait before buying it. When I got it I realized man this is a fun game even though there are problematic graphical bugs and just regular bugs.
Summary: DATE OF REVIEW: 08/1/12 MY SPEC: AMD PHENOM II BE55 (QUAD CORE BLACK EDITION)3.2 GHz - No OC 16 GB PC 1333 Plextor 128 SSD 2M GTX 560 TI Vista Ultimate 64 (I know, I know, why am I not on Win 7? Because I don't see any poor performance for games or spreadsheets!) Shame on you ID, your stupid game lags on reload, guess what? You will probably have to reload this game frequently because the time trials are painful.
Waited 5 months to write thisreview and it still won't work. - Updated 9 months after buying

Summary: I have to start by saying that feedback about Steam really has nothing to do with the product. You do have to use Steam for the game, but in the Steam engine it is possible to set it to play offline. Plus I personally like Steam because I can play the game from either of my computers without the disk in the drive, and each computer can play the same save files. It's also a great way to have a digital backup copy of the game in case the DVD gets damaged.
