Pros: As far as sandbox GTA-style games go, Saints Row 2 is everything that GTA IV should have been, and more. You can't beat this game, especially at this price. Also, this game can be registered with Steam as well.
Pros: Great game, I played it over several times. The minigames keep me interested, and the customizations are endless! Although driving is very, very.... VERY bad, I got used to tapping the turns. It does, however, allow me to ram the car next to me like a madman. I just find this game funny and very enjoyable, but very little to say what's good about it....
Cons: Although lag is an issue, I'm used to playing laggy games. After a while of odd experimentation, turning off dynamic shadows will greatly improve my FPS, but it makes the game look horrific. That settling alone set to 'simple' helps quite a bit. AI is... interesting. The enemies can aim like snipers, but your allies can't aim for their lives! Approaching enemy vehicles will drive 2 feet in front of you, then get out and attack you. Too close to RPG to death. Odd behav...
Summary: The reviewer that posted technical knock-out needs to realize that an 8500 GT is NOT A GAMING GRAPHICS CARD. Its for playing games made in 2004. It is the same as a 6600 GT AGP card. So I don't believe his technical expertise is as high as he says it is. This game runs @ 1920x1200 w/o antialiasing on a XP 32 machine - Q6600 -4GB DDR2 800 - 150GB Raptor - 8800 GTX OC. No stutters or slowdowns.
Pros: Lots of action, graphics are good, and the ability to play COOP through the actual story with a friend online or via lan. Owning both games GTA IV and Saints Row 2, I would have to say that saints row 2 is the better buy. In a game like this, I like action, not meaningless missions.
Cons: As a reviewer stated below the physics are fake. However this is a game that is about non realistic fun (you are a bullet sponge, as in all GTA games too) So the physics do not take away from the game at all for me anyways.
