  • Summary: SimBin has never released a bad game and Race Injection is no different. This title is a great way to get the whole Race 07 Series bundled into one package. There are different levels of difficulty to accommodate any player with tons of tracks and cars to choose from. The Graphics are based on ISI's gmotor2 a DX9 based graphic engine. While there are some great DX11 based games being SimBin has never released a bad game and Race Injection is no different.

  • Summary: Lack of improvements and inovation made me think twice before buying this game (expansion). SimBin, it's time to spend some $$ and start working on a new Game Engine. Get more license please, we want more touring cars. Done this, all the work you'll spend won't be in vain...

An excellent PC game

Anonymous, Newegg
13 March 2010
  • Pros: As far as sandbox GTA-style games go, Saints Row 2 is everything that GTA IV should have been, and more. You can't beat this game, especially at this price. Also, this game can be registered with Steam as well.
  • Cons: None!

Underrated Game

Yiwei G., Newegg
26 February 2010
  • Summary: I need to reinstall fraps to check frame-rates and have yet to really tweak graphic settings (too busy trying to get playing =D) but it's not smooth on 2xAA,4xAF,1680x1050. System is Athlon II 620, 4GB, HD5770, Win7 x64 HomePre, which is a decent mid-range build. Gonna try and see if I can map my PS3 controller, since this is such an obvious port.
  • Pros: Excellent story. It doesn't take itself too seriously and all the actors are over-the-top, tongue in cheek, 1 dimensional parodies of their respective stereotypes. Quality voice acting. Memorable character interactions Fun and varied side missions
  • Cons: As others have mentioned, this is a Steam based game. Since I already have a Steam account, it doesn't bother me much. Poor vehicle and vehicle camera control. Obvious console port. Menu tabs are navigated by shift and ctrl. Weapons selection via button click and move of cursor. Mini-games with dual joystick control graphics. Jerky frame-rates. Combined with poor vehicle control tend to give me slight motion sickness =(

Garbage

David J., Newegg
24 February 2010
  • Pros: Fast shipping. Nice plastic dvd case.
  • Cons: Very poor port of this title. I can run Crysis maxed out with better FPS than this garbage. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this. Don't even accept it for free.

  • Pros: Runs Smoothly on my Dual Core, fun Game play...great change of pace from the GTA Series, Story keeps you wanting more action!
  • Cons: Steam not the biggest fan of this software. Otherwise the game has bugs, and the occasional restart needed!

Laggy Fun

Danny V., Newegg
7 July 2009
  • Summary: Game? Good. Performance? Terrible. Enjoyment? Excellent. Dual-Core + 9800GT(SLi)? 15-20FPS. Overclocking didn't help.
  • Pros: Great game, I played it over several times. The minigames keep me interested, and the customizations are endless! Although driving is very, very.... VERY bad, I got used to tapping the turns. It does, however, allow me to ram the car next to me like a madman. I just find this game funny and very enjoyable, but very little to say what's good about it....
  • Cons: Although lag is an issue, I'm used to playing laggy games. After a while of odd experimentation, turning off dynamic shadows will greatly improve my FPS, but it makes the game look horrific. That settling alone set to 'simple' helps quite a bit. AI is... interesting. The enemies can aim like snipers, but your allies can't aim for their lives! Approaching enemy vehicles will drive 2 feet in front of you, then get out and attack you. Too close to RPG to death. Odd behav...
