Summary: If you're looking for an extension of the original Grid, one that has the same feel and gameplay, stay away from this title. I say this because most good sequels have a familiar feel (along with additions) to the original title. This is where Grid 2 falls on it's face. I absolutely loved Grid and couldn't wait for the second installment.. Unfortunately, the only thing familiar here are it's flashbacks, liveries and it's name.
Summary: It is a very generic racing game, but even for that, it is mediocre. I feel bad for Codemasters (the developers), I actually enjoyed Grid 1, but now they made this game way too different from what it was before.
Summary: As an owner of a 360 and a PS3 I have to say that this isn't the best racing game that is for sure, that title goes to Forza series. This game has alright graphics, decent controls but the game is nowhere near the caliber of Forza, its not even the same caliber of Gran Turismo.. I didn't really have much fun in this game, maybe if this was the fist racer that I played in my life, it would of got a better score, the game fails in comparison to other racers, nuff said..
Summary: First off, this is NOT for the simulation racer... Way too many people have given this bad reviews because they're used to simulation. This game meets the fine line between simulation and arcade. Graphically, awesome game. Every car seems to have it's own feel. The truefeel technology I think is awesome. Really makes it so anyone can drive. Maybe not dirve great, but can at least attempt to keep the car on the road!
Summary: This game is AMAZING!!! Until now I have always said that I hate racing games but now I am converted. Everything about Grid 2 is fantastic. So realistic, so enjoyable, don't want to stop playing it. Well done Codemasters. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Summary: This game is a huge let down and a massive step backwards from the first grid. I would not have known this was the next GRID if I didn't see the case. Now i know this isn't a driving simulator, it never has been, however this games feels way too much like an arcade game. Ever single card feels the same and drifts around every corner as soon as you touch the break. You cannot adjust the driving assists and the difficulties are too simple.
Summary: Grid was the stunning culmination of years of TOCA games and was the first racing game with a fully fledged rewind feature. There was an excellent progression model, detailed driving options and full damage model. Rare for a racing game at the time, it had fully a detailed driver's view which I use exclusively in racing games. Expectations were high for Grid 2. Oh dear..
Summary: As a gamer who has always preferred simulators like Gran Turismo, I bought this game because I really enjoyed the first Grid game. It is a lot of fun, as even though it isn't really a simulator, it isn't overly arcady like a Need For Speed game. The graphics are absolutely stunning, really pushing the limits of the PS3. The controls take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, the turning feels really good.
Summary: Look, the game is unplayable. I have played every racing game for the last 20 years but this is a pathetic excuse from taking my hard earned cash. What is so worrying are the high critics reviews. In fact, exactly like the reviews for Need for Speed:Most Wanted that was reviewed last year. Critics reviews 8.4 from 49 reviews. Whereas the users gave it 5.2 from 215 reviews. As it stands today, Grid 2 has 7.9 from the critics scores and 6.3 from the user scores.
