Summary: Praetorians is definitely, to me, the greatest strategy game of all times, because it's not only the first game I have ever played since i was 10 years old but also stands out in contrast to other mainstream popular strategy games like Age Of Empires thanks to the complete absence of resources ( gold, food, wood,...).
Excerpt: "...own Praetorian gaurd. Dissapointingly, the game Praetorians is not really about the praetorian gaurd but more about the Roman army in general. You command various troops such as auxilary, archers and spearmen; who fight honorably to the last man. This is an incredible RTS game (real time strategy) which does not fail to add intrigue and engagement with the gamer. The game implores the gamer to use his mind cautiously, you must use your scout ...
Conclusion: Although this game is simple, i think its awesome. The thing that this has over rome total war is that it has camps where you can build soldiers when in the game. i think rome total war can be on a scale to large to control all the troops as you want. in praetorians there are various formations such as turtle. its more suitable for younger players.
Summary: Once again I have been duped into buying a game based upon the advice of so-called consumer reviews only to discover that the game fails to live up to the hyperbole. Lets be brutally honest, Praetorians is a game which is marketed to appeal to the Medieval Total war fans but delivers a product more akin to Age of Empires. If you are about seven years old and/or have a basically juvenile sense of wonder then surely this game was tailor made for you.
Summary: This game has great graphics and good tactical scenarios. I don't know where other reviewers are coming from, but most other RTS games become rather easy even at their hardest level. Games such as Age of Empires and Empire Earth don't put up much of a fight after you've estalished your territory. In contrast, the AI in Praetorians is relentless: they just keep attacking and building defenses. Overall a real fun game with great graphics.

Summary: I definately recommend this game, which can be played on three different levels. It's an exciting game which not only has 24 chapters at 3 levels, but also a dozen skirmish games to pit your skill against the CPU. If you are serious about realism and into ancient warfare, then Praetorians is the game for you. One other great thing about this game. You can rebuild destroyed units and with that add different fighting units once a certain plateau of wins is acquired.
Summary: this game sucks so much dont buy this its full of glitches and stuff people can take over your stuff even if your in them and destroy your villages it take 20000000 words to describe how bad this game is in summary dont waste your money on this game buy something anything else!
