Post Mortem is an unfairly difficult game, even for veteran adventure gamers. Without a compelling story to back that difficulty, your interest in finishing it will flatline faster than the couple in the opening cinematic. Read more

From the same studio that gave us Syberia comes Post Mortem, a grisly, and I mean very grisly point-and-click murder mystery set within the seductive shadows of 1920's Paris, France. While an American couple (ahem) celebrates in their hotel bed, a maniac slips into their room and brutally murders them. Decapitated and left in a bizarre tableau, the bloody death scene becomes the shock of the city and it becomes your job to search out the killer's identity and bring hi... Read more

It’s been a while since I’ve played a real good adventure puzzle game. It’ll probably still be a while before I play a good one. They just don’t make them like they used to. Kings Quest, Full Throttle or Monkey Island – we just haven’t seen that type of quality in the past decade. Read more

Post Mortem is an excellent adventure game. While I would not recommend it to children, due to a very graphic display of the murder, everybody else should consider playing this title. The learning curve is low and the atmosphere engrossing enough for this game to be the perfect introduction to the adventure games genre. Veteran gamers will not be disappointed, either, as most of the puzzles have not been seen before. While I am not all too happy about the few bugs an... Read more

In the game you play an ex-detective named Gus MacPherson. You’re currently trying to be an artist, which means you’re broke, and so when Sophia Blake calls on you and asks you to investigate the case, you reluctantly agree. However, as you examine the scene of the crime and track down witnesses, you find that people aren’t being overly truthful to you (especially Sophia Blake) and that no ordinary murderer is on the prowl. Something darker is going on. Imagine thi... Read more

  2. Wow. road kill is now art?

What about that pervert doing live post mortems and exhibiting carved up dead human bodies as "body art". I'm sure he'd have been well at home with the 3rd Reich.

  3. Victorian era "momento mori" photography

An interesting, though morbid and not a little disturbing ( to our modern sensibilities at least ) look at a 19th century form of post mortem photography that was apparently quite popular at the time. http://www.mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/14682
