Plants vs. Zombies by PopCap features the unusual characters that consist of zombies and plants. How they work in this tower defense game is basically players plant plants on their lawn. These plants will then ward off any unwanted evil guests, which in this case, are the zombies. At the basic level, players would find themselves fighting against normal zombies and the zombies’ level of strength and speed increase as players manage to escape unharmed. These zombies even have their shielding tools and ways to prevent themselves from getting harmed. One particular zombie named the Football Zombie is present with shoulder pads and helmet. Others have the ability to shield behind screen doors or orange cones to prevent themselves from being attacked. For the plants, their role in this game would be what the players control. They are the good part of the game and different types of plants are present such as sunflower. What it does is, it produces solar power which in turn gives it the ability to grow other types of plant that will all help the players in conquering the attackers. Defensive plants such as the Wall-nut which helps slow down the enemy’s trek towards the house. The house is what the players of this game is trying to protect. Once the house is destroyed, game’s over. Other features such as having the lawn to change is possible. Change in ways that it won’t seem boring with features like having a swimming pool or different other objects on the lawn.
See lessWe love Bejeweled and Peggle, but we stop playing those games when we tire momentarily of their singular mechanic, or get irritated by their random elements. We stop playing Plants vs Zombies when someone makes us. It has neither of those limitations, and more substance, invention, humour and depth than either game. It’s not a hardcore strategy game, nor is it a hard strategy game, but it is a strategy game. And a strategy game by PopCap turns out to be a frighteningly... Read more
It's impressive how well everything works together in Plants vs. Zombies. Every element, from the gameplay to the bonus extras to the presentation, seems to follow the core philosophy of accessible simplicity underpinned by thoughtful complexity. It is well suited for a wide range of audiences, but those who seek a challenge may not have the patience to play through the few hours that it will take to encounter the more difficult levels. For frugality's sake, interested... Read more
Forget everything you learned with the Romero or Argento zombie flicks of the '70s and '80s. Zombies may be here to roam the Earth and consume our brains as an unstoppable, shambling mob of undead, and they are hungry. However, something stands in their way, their formidable enemy: plants. When there's no more room in hell, so goes the proverb, the dead will come to walk over our pretty little patch of heaven so they can reach us in Plants vs. Zombies . Plants vs.... Read more
There's a zombie on your lawn... Zombies. Along with Nazis and aliens, they have to be the most overused antagonists in videogames. I’ve lost count of how many rotten heads I’ve blasted apart with shotguns over the years. However, it’s obvious just from the title that Plants vs. Zombies from PopCap Games is something different entirely. No shotguns or chainsaws here - your only weapon against the hordes of the damned are a bunch of flowers and mushrooms. Read more
Plants vs. Zombies takes the familiar desktop tower-defense formula—defensive towers line a path and shoot at endless waves of mindless automatons—and turns it on its side... in your backyard. In typical tower-defense games, you manage one path (and one set of baddies at a time). In Plants vs. Zombies, you have to manage five or six lanes and you have to plant your botanical towers in the same lanes the undead baddies walk. The game starts simply; you have a few... Read more
Tower defense is a genre generally exclusive to real-time strategy custom maps. It generally requires placing towers, or turrets in specified places to prevent NPC hordes from reaching a certain point. Read more

The replay ability of this game is its shining point, as well as its extreme addiction. You'll find yourself late at night playing just one more level to advance to the next level, or maybe trying to get a few extra coins to upgrade your plant arsenal. Unlike most Tower Defense games, you can't just "set it and forget it" here. You constantly need to watch your screen to upgrade your defenses, pick up sunshine / coins, or drop a jalapeno bomb on the invading zombies.... Read more
I love this game. I made my non=game playing friend play it and she couldn't stop, she played 6 games before she finally had to stop and leave. I spend way too much time playing this. Wish I could find another game this much fun. The only thing I wish about this game: the shovel would let you move a plant to another location, not just eliminate the plant. Read more
