Summary: I have played Pirates of the Caribbean on Xbox, and I really enjoyed the game. But as you advanced to higher levels of play, the Xbox would lock up. So I was wanting to but the Bethesda's Pirates of the Caribbean PC version. Its is the same game.
Summary: I found this game to be one of the most difficult, most poorly documented and least intuitive games I ever played. You start off the game with a crewmember to lead you through the start of the game. From there, you continue on your own. There is no primer on how to sail a ship.
The graphics are great. Tis a Shame the Game Won't Play

Summary: I finally got a working (?) copy of the game after over a month of searching and waiting. It arrived Friday evening and it is now Sunday evening and the only part of the game I've actually seen is the splash screens for loading and the movie files.
Summary: Utter rubbish. The writers get rich on this one only because there is no way to get your money back if their release a program only fit for the trash can. The keyboard controls keep failing, the buy/sell interfaves don't properly work (I've even accidentally sold my ship for nothing).
Be sure your PC has the min specs - this is picky software!

Summary: Be careful when buying this product - it states that it runs on many Window's platforms, but actually works on very few. The video and sound card requirements are pretty hefty. I made the mistake of buying this software only to find out I can't run it, and my laptop is less than a year old.
Summary: As an extremely avid gamer, I normally say I have no problem throwing [money] away on a new game, even if it only holds my interest for a few weeks. With Pirates of the Caribbean, I definately did throw away [money] though, and I wish I could get it back.
Summary: I bought this game thinking that perhaps it was just a name change, that maybe it was still going to be sea dogs 2... but alas, the gameplay is horrible.. the AI is lacking.. and the speech trees are annoying..
Summary: For starters, you can't easily control your character or your ships. There are times you'd like to save, but can't. The instructions are non-existant. The combat engine is a joke. Combat is supposed to be an important part of the game, but the action is the worst I've seen in years.
Summary: I wanted a game that would simulate the situations I read in the Patrick O'Brian books so went for this Pirate game. It is so flawed in every way possible. The instruction book is tiny, the mouse selection of menus is jumpy, some of the keyboad functions described in the instruction book are...
